Those are company-reported figures, not independently verified results; the announcement does not explain the volume calculation or how the savings estimate was derived. The reported savings are not a cash refund or a guaranteed benefit for an individual trader.
What MEXC reported for 2025
In a January 15, 2026 announcement, MEXC reported growth of more than 130% year over year in both spot and futures trading volume. It also attributed 1.1 billion USDT in user fee savings to its zero-fee strategy. The release does not provide a calculation series or fuller methodology for either claim, so the figures should be read as MEXC’s account rather than an independently established measure.
The same announcement put average savings at 320 USDT per user across more than 3,000 spot and futures pairs. An average does not predict what a particular customer saved: actual fees avoided depend on trading activity, eligible markets, and the fees that otherwise would have applied. MEXC did not show in the release how it calculated the average or establish that each user realized that amount.
What the later zero-fee figures add
A January 28, 2026 MEXC-attributed report reproduced on MEXC News gave more detail: it cited 3,026 spot pairs and 203 futures pairs, said 3.44 million users saved an average of $320, and reported the highest single-user savings as $9 million. These remain claims from the report, not independently validated measurements. The reproduction page expressly says MEXC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of reposted articles.

The January 15 release expresses its total and average in USDT, while the later report uses dollars for its average and top-user figure. The sources do not explain the relationship between the two presentations or provide enough methodology to reconcile them into a verified total.
Other annual figures MEXC disclosed
MEXC also reported 40 million users, 2,287 listed projects, and more than $42.6 million distributed in user rewards during 2025. The announcement does not define how it counted users, projects, or rewards, so these figures describe what the company reported rather than independently audited totals.

The company said it introduced monthly Proof of Reserves audits by Hacken, established a $100 million Guardian Fund, and added independent third-party oversight of risk controls. Those statements do not, by themselves, establish the scope or findings of the measures, prove solvency, or show that trading on the exchange is risk-free.
How to interpret the 130% growth claim
The announcement does not publish the underlying volume series, explain whether volume is measured in a particular currency, or detail the calculation behind the year-over-year comparison. It therefore supports a precise description—MEXC said each market’s trading volume rose by more than 130% in 2025—but not an independent conclusion about the size or quality of that growth.

A separate April 8, 2026 MEXC announcement attributed 90.9% year-over-year growth to CoinGecko. The reviewed material does not establish that this later number measures the same metric or uses the same period basis as the January announcement’s spot and futures figures. The two percentages should not be treated as competing measurements of one clearly defined statistic.

Zero trading fees can lower a trader’s stated transaction costs on eligible markets, but the headline savings figure alone cannot show what a particular person would pay or save. Check the current fee schedule and which pairs and fee types qualify, then compare the same products and time period across exchanges. The releases do not provide a like-for-like comparison with competitors, and they do not establish that MEXC ranks first on growth, cost, or user benefit.

For a personal-finance decision, treat the reported average as context, not a forecast. Consider whether the markets you use are covered, the applicable rules in your jurisdiction, and the risks of trading crypto assets. A zero-fee offer does not remove market, operational, or counterparty risk.
