The “up to 15% APR” phrase in the product’s 2025 launch announcement is historical: MEXC’s September 21, 2026 guide lists later tiers of up to 20% for USDT and USDC, plus 3.5% for USDE. Rates and limits can change, so the live product page—not either headline—is the place to confirm current terms.
What is MEXC Futures Earn?
MEXC describes Futures Earn as a financial product for futures users. After enabling it, eligible funds in a futures account participate in the earning mechanism and remain available as margin for futures trading. MEXC says it credits the previous day’s yield to the futures account once daily. Participation is opt-in.
The launch announcement and MEXC’s blog framed the product as a way for idle funds, open-position margin, and assets in pending orders to earn interest while remaining available for trading. That is MEXC’s product description, not an independent assessment of capital efficiency or returns. MEXC’s September 2025 launch description also included promotional comments from COO Tracy Jin; those comments should be understood as the company’s view.
Is MEXC Futures Earn really up to 15% APR?
That figure described the 2025 launch marketing, not a universal or guaranteed return. MEXC’s September 13, 2025 announcement advertised 5% to 15% APR, while its September 30, 2025 launch announcement published a different schedule: a 3% rate below $100,000 in position value, and, at or above that threshold, 15% on the first 25,000 USDT or USDC of interest principal with the portion above it at 3%. The launch announcement said rates and limits could be adjusted dynamically.

MEXC Learn’s guide dated September 21, 2026 lists a later schedule. These are published platform terms, not independently verified yields; the guide says APRs and principal limits are subject to change.
| Asset | Published APR schedule in MEXC’s September 21, 2026 guide | Principal detail |
|---|---|---|
| USDT and USDC | 7% at a futures position value of $0; 10% at $50,000; 15% at $100,000; and 20% at $500,000 | The guide specifies 50,000 units of interest-bearing principal; the portion above 50,000 and up to 100,000 receives 7%. |
| USDE | 3.5% for any amount | No tiered principal detail is stated in the guide. |
The schedule does not mean that every eligible balance earns the maximum rate. MEXC says position value determines the applicable APR, while eligible futures-account principal determines the amount to which interest applies. Its examples are illustrations rather than observed customer results: the guide says 25,000 USDT principal at 10% APR would produce 6.85 USDT per day, and 85,000 USDT principal with a 100,000 USDT position value would produce 27.26 USDT per day under its stated tiers. Check the MEXC Futures Earn guide and live product terms for the current schedule.

How does Futures Earn calculate interest?
MEXC’s guide describes a calculation based on futures position value and wallet balance. It says eligible interest-bearing principal is calculated as available balance plus frozen balance plus margin, minus trial funds; trial funds do not count. Position value is based only on USDT- and USDC-margined contracts. Coin-margined contracts are excluded, and positions sharing the same base currency are netted under the guide’s calculation.
- MEXC takes three position-value snapshots daily and averages them to determine position value.
- It takes three wallet-balance snapshots daily and uses the minimum to determine interest-bearing principal.
- The previous day’s yield is distributed to the futures account once daily.
These mechanics mean the displayed APR alone is not enough to estimate a user’s yield: both the position-value tier and the measured eligible principal matter.

Can you withdraw or transfer funds while Futures Earn is active?
MEXC says participating funds cannot be transferred out or withdrawn while they are earning. Funds moved or withdrawn out stop generating yield. The guide says users can enable or disable Futures Earn at any time, but the practical trade-off is that funds participating in the feature are not freely withdrawable while it is active.

The September 30, 2025 launch announcement required Primary KYC and excluded market makers, institutional users, and users in restricted countries or regions. Those are historical launch conditions, not a complete statement of current eligibility. MEXC’s later guide directs users to the event page for supported cryptocurrencies and refers to current platform rules. Confirm current access, supported assets, and local requirements with MEXC before relying on the feature.
The cited terms and examples come from MEXC announcements and its Learn guide. They explain what the platform says its product does; they do not establish an independent assessment of platform, custody, counterparty, market, or jurisdictional risks, nor do they imply a guaranteed or net return. The original launch announcement is available at MEXC’s September 13, 2025 notice, and the launch schedule appeared in MEXC’s September 30, 2025 announcement.
