What does the 2006 NBC contract tell us?
Contemporary news reports described a substantial contract when Vieira joined NBC’s Today, but they disagree about its value and relied on unnamed sources:

These are conflicting reports of a historical contract’s stated value—not calculations of net worth. They do not establish how much Vieira ultimately received after taxes and expenses, what other compensation she earned, or how her assets and liabilities changed over time.
