Maxwell named Michael Finger to the role, according to its March 2, 2015 company announcement. The EE Times archive lists its item under the supplied title and displays March 5, 2015; that is the archive date, not the date of Maxwell’s announcement.
What experience and responsibilities did Maxwell cite?
Before joining Maxwell, Finger was vice president of global sales and marketing at TT Electronics. Earlier, he held senior sales and management positions at Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. Maxwell said his international sales and management experience included 15 years focused primarily on the automotive industry. The announcement also noted that he held a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Applied Science in Aachen, Germany.
Maxwell said Finger would lead and build its sales organization, increase sales to existing customers, and expand its customer base in the United States, Europe, and Asia. CEO Dr. Franz Fink said the company wanted him to build a market-focused, customer-centric sales team. Finger said he planned to draw on Maxwell’s energy-storage technology and operational capabilities for transportation and energy-grid applications. These were statements in the 2015 company announcement, not independent assessments of his performance or the technology.

How long did Finger hold the Maxwell role?
Maxwell announced on March 2, 2016, that Jörg Buchheim would join as senior vice president and chief sales officer, succeeding Finger. The company said Finger was leaving for personal reasons. Its 2016 announcement therefore establishes that Finger did not remain in the position indefinitely.
