What is NYCE Companies, and what does it have to do with his wealth?
NYCE Companies is the real-estate venture most prominently associated with Braithwaite and his uncle, Philip Michael. Forbes reported in August 2024 that the venture began in 2017 with an $850,000 investment. Forbes described NYCE as valued at $287 million and reported a portfolio of 1,500 properties, with another 500 planned.
Those figures describe a company and a reported property portfolio; they are not a statement that Braithwaite personally owns $287 million in assets. The reporting does not establish his exact ownership share, the company’s liabilities, or whether every property in the reported count was completed or owned by him. Forbes described NYCE’s work as pursuing affordable housing in Philadelphia and New Jersey. That is the company’s reported purpose; the cited account does not independently audit the housing outcomes.
What other businesses has he been linked to?
Diario AS reported on family-linked business activity in Spain, including Braithwaite Enterprises, the clothing brand Trente, Braithwaite’s Kitchen, and the restaurant Iguana Gavà. The article includes company-registration details, but those details do not establish the businesses’ revenue, value, or Braithwaite’s precise ownership share. They therefore add context to his business interests without providing a basis for calculating his personal fortune.
