Lucy Banks’s reported OnlyFans earnings rose from a claim of $60,000 in one month in 2022 to more than $1.5 million over four years, according to a 2025 PerthNow profile. Those are figures attributed to Banks in media reports, not independently audited results or a guide to what other creators can expect. The Perth mother and former corporate banker later stepped back from the platform and moved into adult-entertainment PR and marketing.
From corporate banking to OnlyFans
PerthNow described Banks in January 2022 as a 29-year-old mother of two who had recently divorced and previously worked as a corporate banker. The profile reported that financial pressure after her divorce was part of the context for her move into adult content. It also reported her claim that she had made $60,000 in the preceding month. PerthNow’s 6 January 2022 profile was a snapshot of her account at the time, not an audit.

A day earlier, 7NEWS reported that Banks said she had earned more than $110,000 from July through December 2021 and projected $250,000 for that financial year. The latter was a forecast, not a confirmed final total. Its profile also described her initial uncertainty and her decision to treat the work more seriously. The 7NEWS report of 5 January 2022 framed the story around a striking individual result; it does not establish a normal earning level for creators.
What the reported earnings figures mean
News coverage repeated several increasingly large figures over the following years. Each is a historical claim attributed to Banks, and the periods and descriptions differ. They should not be added together: they may cover overlapping time spans, and the reports do not provide account records to reconcile them.

The 2023 daily figures describe a snapshot, not a dependable salary. In June, Banks told PerthNow she could earn $2,500 a day and described regular, personal contact with subscribers. In August, PerthNow reported that she had over 500 subscribers and earned up to $3,000 per day, while also describing a shift toward fewer subscribers and deeper connections. The June 2023 profile and the August 2023 report attribute those descriptions to Banks; neither establishes what she earns now.
No representative income data or independently verified account records are provided in these profiles. Banks’s story therefore cannot support an estimate of typical creator earnings or a promise that adult-content work will solve financial hardship.

The work included subscriber relationships
Banks’s account of the job was about more than publishing adult content. In 2022, she told 7NEWS, “It’s not all sex, it’s creating personal relationships.” In a 2023 PerthNow profile, she described subscribers who sent her a good-morning message every day. The June article also reported that she learned personal details about subscribers and communicated with them regularly. PerthNow’s June 2023 account presents this as her way of working, not a universal description of every creator’s business.
Family life, privacy and career consequences
Banks has described the work as giving her flexibility around parenting. In a 2025 PerthNow report, she said: “Becoming a sex worker enabled me to stay at home and be around for my kids. I could structure my work around when they were at school.” The report attributes the quote to her interview with news.com.au. PerthNow’s 25 September 2025 update also said she had stepped back from OnlyFans and remained in adult entertainment, working in PR and marketing.

The same update reported that Banks’s eldest child learned about her work after another person disclosed it. Banks had wanted to discuss the subject with her children when they were older and said she was careful to shield them from age-inappropriate material. This is a specific account of how her family encountered the information, not evidence that every creator’s family will face the same circumstances.
Visibility can also have professional consequences. PerthNow’s 2022 profile raised Banks’s concern that social-media material could affect future employment and quoted Margaret Cox, director of ICE Recruitment, relaying an observation reported by the Irish Examiner: “I have seen people not get jobs because of this.” Cox’s comment is an individual observation, not a measured hiring rate or proof that all employers search applicants’ online histories. The original profile situates the concern within Banks’s own experience and the potential permanence of publicly available material.

Where Banks’s story stands
The latest career update in these reports is PerthNow’s September 2025 account: Banks had stepped back from OnlyFans after four years on the platform and continued in adult-entertainment PR and marketing. That article reported more than $1.5 million earned over those four years, but does not establish her work status or earnings in October 2026. The arc—from corporate banking and financial strain to a high-earning period, then a move into industry PR—belongs to Banks’s reported experience, not a typical personal-finance pathway.
