Lucid Motors’ final report counted 17,840 vehicles produced in 2025—not the 18,378 in its preliminary January announcement. The preliminary total was described as 104% above 2024, but Lucid later excluded 538 vehicles because internal procedures required to classify them as produced were incomplete. Lucid also reported 15,841 deliveries, a separate measure that rose 55% year over year.
How many vehicles did Lucid produce in 2025?
Lucid Group’s January 5, 2026 preliminary announcement put 2025 production at 18,378 vehicles, up 104% from 2024. In its February 24, 2026 full-year results, the company revised that figure to 17,840. Lucid said 538 vehicles had not completed the internal procedures required for classification as produced; it expected them to complete final validation in 2026. The company said the timing-related revision did not affect previously reported financial results.

The change also applied to fourth-quarter production: Lucid’s January preliminary report counted 8,412 vehicles, while its February results reported 7,874. Production and deliveries are different measures
Lucid reported 15,841 vehicles delivered in 2025, up 55% compared with 2024. Production counts vehicles made under the company’s reporting criteria; deliveries count vehicles handed over to customers. They answer different questions, so the delivery total should not be substituted for production—or treated as a direct measure of the same activity.

How the final result compared with Lucid’s outlook
On August 5, 2025, Lucid said it expected to produce 18,000 to 20,000 vehicles for the year and anticipated ramping Gravity production in the second half. The final reported total of 17,840 was 160 vehicles below the lower end of that outlook. The comparison is between the company’s dated forecast and its later reported figure; it does not, by itself, explain why production came in below the range. TechCrunch reported that Lucid struggled in early 2025 as it began ramping Gravity production and described quality issues. The outlet quoted interim CEO Marc Winterhoff from a December customer email: “Lingering software problems have unfortunately affected our customers’ experience and satisfaction. I would like to assure you that we are laser focused on addressing these issues.” The quotation identifies software problems as affecting customer experience, but does not establish that every Gravity had those problems.
The available reporting does not provide a comprehensive defect list, a verified count of affected vehicles or customers, or a quantified measure of customer impact. It also does not establish a recall. TechCrunch’s account is a report of early production and quality difficulties, not a complete independent assessment of their causes or scope. Lucid’s August expectation of a second-half production ramp is a dated outlook, not evidence that the ramp proceeded without difficulties. Read TechCrunch’s January 5, 2026 report.
