The milestone preceded the opening of Gravity SUV orders on November 7, 2024; Gravity production and first customer deliveries followed in December. It is a historical company-reported operating result, not Lucid’s current delivery record.
What Lucid reported for Q3 2024
Lucid’s quarter ended September 30, 2024, included 2,781 deliveries and 1,805 vehicles produced. The company announced those operating totals on October 7, then described the deliveries as a third consecutive quarterly record when it released its financial results on November 7. Lucid said deliveries were up 90.9% year over year.

Lucid noted that around 8% of Q3 deliveries were subject to operating lease accounting. Deliveries and production are operating measures, not revenue, cash collected, or proof of profitability. Lucid cautioned that production and delivery totals should not be relied on as the sole indicator of quarterly financial results. The company’s Q3 results are available in its November 7, 2024 release and its October 7 production and delivery announcement.
How the Gravity SUV launch followed the record
Orders opened in November 2024
On November 7, Lucid opened the Gravity order book and said production remained on track to start that year. That was the company’s outlook at the time, not a statement that production or customer deliveries had already begun. Then-CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson said the company was opening orders for the SUV while it remained on track for a 2024 production start.

Production and customer deliveries began in December
Lucid later reported that Gravity production started at its AMP-1 facility in Arizona and that the first SUVs were delivered to customers in December 2024. Orders opening, production starting, and vehicles reaching customers were distinct milestones. Lucid’s Q4 and full-year 2024 results also said 2024 had four consecutive quarters of record deliveries.
Why the 2024 record is no longer the latest
Later company reports surpassed the Q3 2024 delivery total. Lucid reported 4,078 deliveries in Q3 2025, up 47% year over year. In Q1 2026 it reported 3,093 deliveries, and in Q2 2026 it reported 3,953. These are separate quarterly results; the fact that a later quarter exceeded 2,781 does not by itself establish a sustained demand trend.

The later figures and explanations are Lucid-reported. Its Q3 2025 update is at this release; Q1 2026 results are at this release; and Q2 2026 results are at this release.
What the numbers do—and do not—say about Lucid
The 2,781 figure answers how many vehicles Lucid said it delivered in Q3 2024; it does not show how many it produced, how much revenue it earned, or whether it made a profit. Production was lower than deliveries that quarter, while revenue and liquidity were reported separately. Lucid also completed a capital raise of roughly $1.75 billion in October 2024, after Q3 had ended, so that raise should not be confused with the quarter-end liquidity figure.

For personal-finance readers assessing a company rather than shopping for an SUV, keep the measures and dates distinct: deliveries and production describe operations, revenue describes sales recognized financially, and liquidity is a reported financial-position measure. A single delivery record cannot by itself establish profitability or predict future results.

In its Q2 2026 report, Lucid said its robotaxi program had begun receiving Gravity production-validation vehicles for testing with Uber and Nuro in the San Francisco Bay Area and Houston. That is a reported testing milestone, not evidence that a commercial robotaxi service has launched.
