The company called it a seventh consecutive quarterly delivery record. But the reported total does not show how many were Gravity SUVs, and contemporary coverage said the effect of the expiring federal EV credit was difficult to quantify. The record is clear; those proposed explanations are not.
What Lucid reported for Q3 2025
Lucid Group said it delivered 4,078 vehicles in Q3 2025, setting a company record for quarterly deliveries. It described the result as its seventh consecutive quarterly delivery record. These are company-reported deliveries, not a count of retail sales to individual buyers. Lucid’s Q3 2025 announcement

How much did Gravity contribute?
The available Q3 reporting does not establish the number or percentage of Gravity SUVs in the 4,078-vehicle total. TechCrunch reported that Gravity deliveries were picking up, but said the split between Gravity and the Air sedan was unclear. Without a model-by-model figure, the overall record cannot be attributed specifically to Gravity. TechCrunch’s October 6, 2025 report
Did the expiring federal EV credit cause the record?
That has not been demonstrated. TechCrunch identified the credit’s approaching expiration as a possible factor but said its effect on Lucid’s deliveries was hard to quantify. The timing may have encouraged some eligible customers to act sooner, but the reported evidence does not measure how many deliveries resulted from that incentive or show that it drove the quarterly record.

TechCrunch said the federal credit eligibility relevant to Lucid was for lessees. That does not mean every lessee qualified automatically; the report does not establish individual eligibility or the legal conditions applicable to a particular transaction.
What later delivery figures add—and do not add
Later results show that Lucid’s delivery performance varied with operating conditions, but they do not explain the 2025 record. Lucid reported 3,093 deliveries in Q1 2026 and said a seat-supplier issue significantly affected Gravity deliveries in February. In Q2 2026, it reported 3,953 deliveries, up 19% year over year. Lucid’s Q1 2026 announcement Lucid’s Q2 2026 announcement
Lucid’s Q2 2026 filing said Gravity’s higher average selling price contributed to favorable product mix. That later financial disclosure concerns a different period and does not establish that Gravity caused the Q3 2025 delivery record. Lucid’s Q2 2026 SEC filing
The Q3 2025 result is therefore best read as a company-wide delivery milestone, not proof of a particular model’s share or a tax-credit-driven surge.
