Luca di Montezemolo Net Worth: What the $350 Million Estimate Shows

Celebrity Net Worth estimates Luca di Montezemolo’s net worth at $350 million, but it is not independently verified. Official Ferrari-related compensation figures from 2014 are historical pay disclosures, not a personal wealth statement.

Celebrity Net Worth estimates Luca di Montezemolo’s net worth at $350 million, and lists a $3.5 million salary. The site says its page was updated April 16, 2026. These are third-party estimates, not verified financial disclosures: the official sources reviewed do not show a complete balance sheet of his assets, debts, investments or ownership interests.

How much is Luca di Montezemolo worth?

The widely circulated figure is Celebrity Net Worth’s $350 million estimate, updated April 16, 2026. The site also lists a $3.5 million salary, but does not establish that this is his current pay or an audited amount. Neither number should be treated as a confirmed valuation of his personal wealth.

Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities. A precise calculation would require current information about holdings, property, investments, debts and ownership stakes. The official records reviewed document career roles and some historical compensation, but do not provide those personal financial details.

What does the official Ferrari compensation disclosure say?

A September 10, 2014 announcement by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) gives specific compensation figures related to Montezemolo’s departure from Ferrari. They are historical amounts described by the company, not a measure of his present wealth or lifetime earnings.

Figure What the source says it measures
€2,742,000 Fixed annual compensation used in calculating a post-mandate indemnity.
“€ 13,710,00” The total printed in the FCA announcement for an indemnity calculated as five times the annual amount. The printed figure appears malformed; it is reproduced as published rather than silently corrected.
€13,253,000 Fixed and variable compensation due through the original end of the Ferrari mandate, which the announcement said would be paid by January 31, 2015.

These disclosures answer a narrow question about amounts specified around the end of his Ferrari mandate. They do not establish what he retained after taxes and spending, what he earned over his whole career, or what his assets and liabilities are today. The announcement is available in the FCA/Stellantis archive.

Why Ferrari’s success does not establish his personal fortune

Montezemolo held prominent leadership positions, but a company’s revenue, value or sporting success is not the same as an executive’s personal wealth. The official honor record describes Ferrari and Maserati’s scale in the 1990s; it does not say that those corporate figures belonged to him. Nor do leadership roles, compensation or an indemnity by themselves prove that he owned a particular share of either company.

The Italian Presidency’s honor record says Montezemolo entered Ferrari in 1973 as Enzo Ferrari’s assistant, later led its sporting operation, and returned in 1991. The record names him a Cavaliere del Lavoro in 1998 and describes his leadership of Ferrari and Maserati at that time.

Italo’s corporate biography lists his chairmanship of Ferrari Auto from 1991 to October 2014, Fiat Group from 2004 to 2010, and Maserati from 1997 to 2005, as well as later business and board roles. Such biographies establish career context, not the value of his private holdings.

What can be concluded from the available figures?

  • $350 million: a Celebrity Net Worth estimate, with the page updated April 16, 2026—not a verified personal balance sheet.
  • $3.5 million salary: a figure the same site labels as salary; the page does not establish it as current or audited.
  • 2014 Ferrari-related compensation: specified historical amounts in an FCA announcement, which should not be converted into a net-worth estimate.

Formula 1’s September 10, 2014 profile recounts his Ferrari career and quotes him describing the company as deeply important to him. That personal connection helps explain his public association with Ferrari, but says nothing about the size of his fortune.
