PerthNow reported that the Sunday draw produced the second Set for Life winner in Western Australia within a week, and the state’s third winner of the game in 2024. The report did not identify the winner or the earlier winner, or state the exact interval between the wins. PerthNow’s report, published 30 September 2024, is the source for those event-specific details.
The article quoted Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney: “The winner’s room at Lotterywest HQ has been quite full this past fortnight, however it never gets old seeing the joy that comes from meeting our winners.”
How much did the winner reportedly win?
PerthNow described the prize as $20,000 a month for 20 years. That is the monthly-payment wording in the 2024 report, not a complete description of the game’s current Division 1 prize.

How Set for Life works now
Lotterywest describes Set for Life as a daily game, with draws every day of the year. To win Division 1, an entry must match all seven winning numbers. The operator lists approximate odds of 1 in 38,320,568 for Division 1 per standard game, and overall odds of 1 in 51 of winning any prize. Lotterywest says these odds are approximate and rounded; they describe game chances, not a prediction of future winners.
Lotterywest says there is no skill or strategy that increases a player’s chance of winning. Its current page says people can play at local stores, on its website or through its app. Membership requires a Western Australian residential address.
