Short answer: The widely reported 50%-off Walmart+ offer was a real Cyber Monday 2025 promotion, but it is no longer available. Walmart+ cost $49 for one year instead of $98 and included a choice of Peacock Premium or Paramount+ Essential. The promotion reportedly ended December 2, 2025.
As of August 2026, you should not treat the $49 price as a live Peacock or Walmart+ deal. Cyber Monday 2026 falls on November 30, and any new promotion will need to be checked separately.

Was there a direct Peacock Cyber Monday deal?
Not according to contemporaneous 2025 coverage. Tom’s Guide reported no direct Peacock-branded Cyber Monday discount. Instead, the workaround was to buy discounted Walmart+ and select Peacock as the included entertainment benefit.
That distinction matters. You did not receive a standalone Peacock subscription for $0. You paid $49 for a year of Walmart+, then received Peacock Premium at no additional charge as one of the membership benefits.

TechRadar reported that the Walmart+ membership also included benefits such as free shipping with no order minimum, delivery perks and fuel savings. The exact Walmart+ price and benefit terms can change, so check the official Walmart+ page rather than relying on the old $49 figure.
Was Peacock really free?
“Included with Walmart+” is the accurate description. Peacock Premium had no separate charge under the reported promotion, but the customer still paid $49 for Walmart+.
The deal was potentially excellent for someone who would use Walmart+ anyway. It was less compelling for someone who wanted only Peacock and would not use Walmart’s shopping, delivery or fuel benefits. The effective value depends on what you would otherwise buy—not merely on the advertised value of the included streaming plan.

Which Peacock plan was included?
The offer included Peacock Premium with ads, not Peacock Premium Plus. Viewers should expect advertising and commercial interruptions, including during live sports and some programming. An upgrade to an ad-free tier was reportedly available through the account hub for an additional charge, but the price should be confirmed in the live account flow because streaming prices and upgrade terms change.
Sports availability also depends on the event, rights arrangement, location, blackout rules and plan. Having Peacock does not guarantee access to every sporting event shown somewhere on the service.
How much value did it provide?
The headline discount was straightforward:
- $98 reported regular annual Walmart+ price
- Minus $49 promotional price
- $49 in Walmart+ savings
2025 coverage cited a direct annual Peacock price of $109.99. That figure is useful as a date-qualified comparison, not as a promise of current pricing. It also does not mean you saved $158.99 in cash: you paid $49 and received a bundle of services.

A fair comparison is:
- Walmart shopper: $49 for Walmart+ plus Peacock Premium could be a strong bundle value.
- Peacock-only viewer: Walmart+ may not be the cheapest option if a direct Peacock discount is available.
- Ad-free viewer: Add the cost of a Premium Plus upgrade before comparing totals.
- Existing Walmart+ member: Peacock may be an attractive additional benefit if the membership already fits your budget.
Should you choose Peacock or Paramount+?
The Walmart+ benefit offered a choice, so the better selection depended on what you watch.

These are viewing criteria, not universal rankings. Sports coverage varies by event and market. Reported Walmart+ terms also allowed members to switch the selected streaming benefit every 90 days. Confirm the current rule in the Walmart+ Benefits Hub before relying on it; switching is not the same as unlimited or instant access to both services.

- Open your Walmart+ account dashboard and find the Benefits Hub.
- Locate the Peacock benefit and select the option to get Peacock.
- Choose Peacock Premium, then link an existing Peacock account or create a new one.
- Open Peacock and confirm that the account shows the Walmart+-provided plan before watching.
- Check your billing page and next renewal date.
Labels and account paths can change. Do not cancel another subscription until the new entitlement is visible and working.

- Subscriptions billed through Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon or another provider generally must be canceled through that provider.
- Confirm the next billing date after activation.
- Keep the confirmation email or a screenshot of the active Walmart+ benefit.
This is especially important if you previously signed up for Peacock through an app store or Prime Video Channels, where Peacock’s website may not control the billing relationship.

Who should buy Walmart+ for Peacock?
Walmart+ is more likely to be worthwhile when you:
- Shop at Walmart regularly.
- Use grocery, pharmacy or other delivery services.
- Value free shipping and fuel discounts.
- Want Peacock for much of the year.
- Would buy Walmart+ even without the streaming benefit.
It is probably a poor Peacock-only purchase when you:
- Want to watch one game, movie or short event.
- Rarely shop at Walmart.
- Already receive Peacock through a provider, credit card or another membership.
- Prefer ad-free Premium Plus.
- Can get a verified direct Peacock promotion for less.
Other routes to check
Before paying for a new parent membership, check benefits you already have. DealNews has reported Peacock access or trials through several channels, but eligibility and pricing require confirmation at checkout:
- Instacart+, which may include Peacock for eligible members.
- Prime Video Channels, where Peacock Premium Plus has been reported as a separate channel subscription—not a standard Amazon Prime inclusion.
- Selected Xfinity, Spectrum or Xumo arrangements.
- Eligibility-based student, first-responder or provider discounts.
- A future direct promotion on the official Peacock website.
Free trials can renew automatically. Check the renewal price, eligibility rules and cancellation deadline before starting one. A reported Walmart+ trial also included Peacock access, but trial terms may differ from paid annual membership terms.
What to watch for in Cyber Monday 2026
Cyber Monday 2026 is November 30. A new deal could be direct from Peacock, bundled through Walmart+, or offered by another provider. Do not assume the 2025 $49 price, the $98 regular price, the included plan or the 90-day switching rule will return unchanged.
When comparing offers, check five things: the total parent-membership cost, the exact Peacock tier, advertising and upgrade terms, eligibility and expiration date, and whether an existing subscription will continue billing.
