Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo: What Happened to the September 2021 Release Date and ZOO Token?

The September 2021 CryptoZoo release date was an expectation, not evidence the promised game launched. Here’s what the timeline, buyback summary, and court order say—and why the old ZOO-token buying instructions should not be used as current guidance.

The September 1, 2021 date was a reported expectation for Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo game—not confirmation that the promised playable game launched. A community-made timeline records later Genesis Egg and dApp milestones, while a July 2025 federal court order recounts Paul’s January 2024 announcement that the game would never be released. The old ZOO-token buying instructions are historical; current availability and a safe purchase route are not established.

Was CryptoZoo’s game released on September 1, 2021?

No verified evidence here establishes that the full game promised to players launched on September 1. On August 31, 2021, TechTimes reported that September 1 was the expected release date, citing CryptoZoo’s website at the time. That was a forecast, not proof of delivery.

CryptoZoo World, a community-made site, records an initial Genesis Egg and dApp milestone on September 3, 2021, then says the dApp went live on October 17. Those are the community timeline’s dates; they do not independently establish that a fully functional game matching the advertised promise was delivered.

CryptoZoo’s key dates

Date Milestone What the source establishes
July 21, 2021 ZOO token launch and egg presale Listed by the community-made CryptoZoo World timeline.
August 31, 2021 September 1 game release expectation reported TechTimes reported the expected date based on CryptoZoo’s website at that time.
September 3, 2021 Genesis Eggs and CryptoZoo dApp milestone Recorded by the CryptoZoo World community timeline.
October 17, 2021 dApp described as live Recorded by the same community timeline; it does not verify delivery of the promised full game.
January 4, 2024 Paul announced the game would never be released Recounted in a July 7, 2025 federal court order, which says Paul cited regulatory hurdles.
February 8, 2024 Reported deadline for NFT buyback claims Stated in the community site’s buyback summary; this is a past deadline, not a current claim option.

Can you still buy ZOO token?

The available information does not establish whether ZOO is currently available to trade, what contract address or route is current, whether there is liquidity, or whether any exchange supports a safe purchase. Do not treat the 2021 instructions as current buying advice.

TechTimes’ 2021 article told readers to use Trust Wallet and BNB, then referred them to another guide for ZOO. Those instructions are historical and do not establish that the same wallet setup, token contract, or purchase path remains valid. Before considering any crypto transaction, independently verify the asset and contract through reliable current sources; this article cannot confirm a present-day way to buy ZOO.

What happened with the 2024 NFT buyback?

CryptoZoo World’s community article says Paul announced a buyback for Base Egg and Base Animal NFTs at their original purchase price, with claims due by February 8, 2024. The article reproduces his statement: “Today, I am incredibly happy to announce that I am delivering on my promise to buy back Base Egg and Base Animal CryptoZoo NFTs for their original purchase price.” The same summary says ZOO token holders were excluded; the offer was not a token refund.

The offer is historical, and the stated claim deadline has passed. The community article’s summary should not be read as proof of a current redemption opportunity.

What does the lawsuit establish?

A July 7, 2025 order in Holland v. CryptoZoo, Inc. et al. addresses a defendant’s personal-jurisdiction challenge and recounts background about the project. It is not a final ruling on whether the plaintiffs’ underlying claims are true.

The order describes plaintiffs’ allegations concerning deception, market manipulation, losses, and the limits of the buyback. Those are allegations, not findings that the court established in that order. The available information here does not verify the lawsuit’s complete status after July 2025.
