The headline came from a TechBullion article published December 30, 2024. It said Lightchain AI (LCAI) had taken in more than $6 million during “Stage 9” of its presale and portrayed an analyst as highly confident in the project.
The article described Lightchain AI’s proposed Proof of Intelligence (PoI) consensus concept, Artificial Intelligence Virtual Machine (AIVM), a 10-billion-token supply and a roadmap that targeted a 2025 testnet and mainnet. Those roadmap dates are now historical, not upcoming promises.
What is—and is not—verified about the $6 million
The strongest defensible wording is: TechBullion reported that Lightchain AI claimed to have raised more than $6 million during Stage 9. The article itself does not establish that the money was independently counted or audited.

Consequently, the headline’s “analyst” language is an editorial characterization, not verifiable analyst research. A presale total can show promotional reach or speculative interest; it does not prove product-market fit, honest management or a future price.
What Lightchain AI says it is
On its current official website, Lightchain AI describes a Web3 ecosystem combining blockchain infrastructure, AI applications, developer tools and community governance. The site references AI Chat, an IDE, explorer and faucet functions, DAO features, bridge and decentralized-exchange access, and AIVM-based workflows.
These are first-party descriptions. They should not be treated as independently demonstrated capabilities without reproducible code, usage data and third-party verification.
Proof of Intelligence
The project’s FAQ describes PoI as a protocol intended to connect network participation with useful AI-related computation, such as inference, model work and intelligent coordination. That is a stated design objective; it is not, by itself, evidence that valuable AI workloads are running at scale.

Artificial Intelligence Virtual Machine
AIVM is described as an execution layer for AI-native blockchain applications, inference workflows, automation and verifiable AI execution patterns. The important distinction is whether a feature is a concept, prototype, testnet component or deployed mainnet service with independent users. The available material does not establish broad production adoption.
What changed after the 2024 article
Mainnet timing and network details
Official documentation states that mainnet genesis occurred on May 5, 2026, at 12:12:02 UTC. It lists a fixed supply of 10,000,000,000 LCAI, native symbol LCAI, chain ID 9200, RPC endpoint https://rpc.mainnet.lightchain.ai and status page https://status.mainnet.lightchain.ai.
A separate public forum announcement dated May 8, 2026 called the mainnet launch. The May 5 timestamp appears to be the technical genesis time, while May 8 was the public announcement; readers should not treat the discrepancy as two different networks.
Before signing a transaction, verify the chain ID, RPC and contract address from current official documentation. A wallet balance or presale allocation may use a different contract or claim process from freely transferable mainnet tokens.

Contract and developer resources
The official site lists this LCAI contract address: 0X9CA8530CA349C966FE9EF903DF17A75B8A778927. Confirm its network and capitalization through the project’s official verification page rather than a search result, social-media reply or direct message. Public developer material includes the documentation, mainnet guide and a public smart-contract repository.
Audits
The official site lists Cyberscope coverage dated December 6, 2024, SolidProof coverage dated December 4, 2024, and CertiK Skynet coverage dated April 28, 2026. A Cyberscope audit document is publicly linked.
An audit is a limited-scope review of a particular code version. It does not verify fundraising, treasury reporting, management competence, user demand, future returns or the safety of every bridge, website, wallet and governance component. Check whether findings were resolved and whether the deployed code matches the reviewed version.

The percentages add to 100%, but the article does not provide vesting schedules, unlock dates, circulating supply, wallet concentration or distribution records. Those details determine dilution and selling pressure more than the headline percentages do. Investors should ask when team, treasury, marketing and staking allocations become transferable and whether privileged contracts can mint, pause, blacklist or change fees.
Exchange status: applications are not listings
An official forum update said listing applications had been submitted to BitMart, MEXC and Tapbit, while the Kraken process was continuing. “Application submitted” is not the same as an approved, live market.
For each venue, distinguish among:
- Application submitted.
- Listing approved.
- Trading actually live.
- Deposits and withdrawals enabled.
- Sufficient liquidity to sell without severe slippage.
- Confirmation on the exchange’s own official asset page.
The project site also references CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko and Uniswap. Verify the exact contract and network before using Uniswap; a quoted price in a thin pool may not be executable for a meaningful amount.

- Can the Stage 9 amount be reconciled to identifiable wallets or audited accounts?
- Are refunds, bonuses, unsold tokens and treasury wallets disclosed?
- Are presale terms and claim mechanics documented?
Product reality
- Can an independent user reproduce documented mainnet transactions?
- Are AI workloads actually running, and are results verifiable?
- What developers, applications, fees and active users exist?
Token utility and governance
- What actions require LCAI rather than merely accepting it as a speculative asset?
- Are staking rewards funded by network activity or by continuing emissions?
- Are DAO votes binding, and who controls upgrades, treasury assets and emergency functions?
Liquidity and security
- Which markets are confirmed live, and how deep are their pools?
- Which contract version was audited, and were findings fixed?
- Are bridges, front ends and third-party applications covered?
Practical scam-resistance checklist
- Begin at lightchain.ai and follow links from there; check the domain carefully.
- Confirm chain ID 9200, the RPC endpoint and the contract against current official documentation.
- Use an official exchange asset page to verify a claimed listing.
- Never sign a transaction from an unsolicited message or lookalike site.
- If proceeding, test with a small amount and review token approvals before increasing exposure.
- Keep seed phrases offline. A wallet such as MetaMask does not provide account recovery or investment protection.
- Treat guaranteed-return language, urgent bonus claims and requests to “bridge” through unknown sites as warning signs.
The project’s forum index includes a discussion titled “Presale investor — Unable to claim 50% bonus due to technical issue,” a reminder to verify bonus and claim mechanics directly rather than repeating promotional promises.

Is LCAI an investment opportunity?
As of August 18, 2026, the evidence supports a cautious, speculative assessment rather than a buy or scam verdict. The original bullish case is weakly sourced: the analyst is unnamed and the reported raise is not independently demonstrated in the article. Lightchain AI has since published mainnet documentation, infrastructure details, developer resources and audit links, which is more substantive than a purely pre-launch narrative.
Those disclosures still do not establish commercial adoption, decentralization, legal compliance, secure governance, sustainable revenue or a justified price target. Presale traction, a mainnet launch, an audit or an exchange application is not proof of future returns.

Its central claims—the unnamed analyst’s conviction and the reported $6 million raise—cannot be independently substantiated from the article.
