Rank #2
AAO Generalist
The Generalist notification specified an age range of 21–30 years on 1 August 2025, subject to the listed category-based relaxations. It required a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution in India. Consult the official Generalist notification for the exact relaxation rules and other conditions.
Specialist and Assistant Engineer roles
Specialist and engineering posts had role-specific qualifications and, where applicable, experience requirements. For AE Civil and AE Electrical, the notification required a relevant B.E. or B.Tech from an AICTE-recognized institution and at least three years of post-qualification experience planning and executing multi-storey building projects with the required infrastructure. Other specialist positions had their own credentials and experience criteria. Use the exact role section in the official Specialist/Assistant Engineer notification; the Generalist degree requirement should not be applied to these posts.
Pay figures stated in the Generalist notification
For AAO Generalist, LIC stated a basic pay of ₹88,635 per month and approximate total emoluments of ₹1,26,000 per month at the minimum of the pay scale in an A-class city. The total depended on allowances and city classification. These are notification-era figures, not a statement of current pay or take-home salary.
