What did Leeds United confirm?
Leeds United announced in September 2019 that Cooper had signed a five-year contract running until summer 2024. In its June 2024 retained-list notice, the club said it was in talks with him about extending his contract. On 11 September 2024, Leeds confirmed Cooper had left after his contract expired to take up an opportunity overseas. None of those announcements disclosed his wage.
