Celebrity Net Worth estimates Lenny Dykstra’s net worth at -$25 million. That is a third-party estimate, not a verified current balance sheet. The available reporting documents sharply different figures from Dykstra’s 2009 bankruptcy proceedings, but those historical disclosures do not establish what he owns or owes today.

What is Lenny Dykstra’s net worth?

Celebrity Net Worth lists Dykstra’s net worth as -$25 million on its page accessed in 2026. The figure represents that publisher’s estimate; the sources available here do not provide a recent, independently verified accounting of Dykstra’s assets and liabilities. Celebrity Net Worth’s estimate should therefore be read as an estimate, not an official current financial disclosure.

How the estimate differs from the 2009 bankruptcy figures

The 2009 figures refer to different documents and stages of the bankruptcy case. They should not be combined into one balance sheet or treated as interchangeable with a present-day net-worth estimate.

Figure What it describes Source and date
Less than $50,000 in assets; $10 million to $50 million in debts Figures reported in Dykstra’s July 2009 bankruptcy petition. Los Angeles Times, July 8, 2009
$24.6 million in claimed assets; $37.1 million in liabilities Figures reported from bankruptcy schedules filed in August 2009, later than the petition. The Smoking Gun, August 12, 2009
$60 million Dykstra’s reported claim about his worth in April 2009; not an independently verified valuation. Los Angeles Times, July 8, 2009

Why the reported figures do not produce a current net worth

The $60 million figure was a public claim reported before the bankruptcy filing. The petition and later schedules were separate disclosures from 2009, and the schedules reported different asset and liability totals from the petition-stage ranges. Each number describes a particular claim, filing or document stage—not a verified present-day total.

A January 2026 Associated Press report supplies legal-history context, but it is not a current financial statement. None of these sources establishes Dykstra’s present assets, debts or net worth. Associated Press, January 3, 2026.

What the 2009 report said about income

The Smoking Gun reported that a bankruptcy statement listed a monthly MLB pension of $5,700 as Dykstra’s only current income at that time. This is a historical figure from the 2009 reporting, not evidence of his current income.
