KSI, whose full name is Olajide Olatunji, became a shareholder and strategic partner at Dagenham & Redbridge on March 3, 2026. BBC Sport described his holding as a minority stake: he is a part-owner, not the club’s sole owner. The move followed a separate share acquisition announced by Happy Fan Group in February.
Did KSI buy Dagenham & Redbridge?
Not by himself. The club announced KSI as a shareholder and strategic partner, and BBC Sport reported that he bought a minority stake. The sources do not state the size of that stake, so it is not possible to say what percentage he owns or how much he invested. Dagenham & Redbridge’s announcement and BBC Sport’s report support describing him as a part-owner, rather than saying he bought the club outright.
How the ownership announcements fit together
KSI’s arrival was one step in a sequence of ownership developments, not a replacement for the earlier announcement.
- February 16, 2026: The club said Happy Fan Group, LLC, led by John Grabowski, acquired shares previously held by Club Underdog, Inc. The club said the National League had approved the takeover, required Football Association approvals had been granted, and the documentation was complete. The club’s statement does not establish that this acquisition made Happy Fan Group the sole owner.
- March 3, 2026: The club announced KSI as a shareholder and strategic partner; BBC Sport specified that his shareholding was a minority stake.
The announcements describe distinct shareholdings. They do not provide a complete ownership breakdown or establish that KSI controls the club.

What KSI says he wants to achieve
In the club’s announcement, KSI described his aim as taking Dagenham & Redbridge back to what he called its “glory days” and said reaching the Premier League would be a dream. He also acknowledged that the journey would take a long time and asked supporters to be patient. That is his stated ambition, not a confirmed club target, timetable, forecast or guarantee.
“I’m so excited to start this journey. It’s gonna be a rollercoaster for sure but I hope to bring Dagenham and Redbridge back to the glory days. And once we reach that point, I want to go even further. Reaching the Premier League would be a dream. And I believe it is 100% doable. It will take a long time, so to the Daggers fans, please be patient.
