Krungthai Bank’s PromptFund lets customers buy or sell participating mutual funds through Krungthai NEXT at any time, with units or cash delivered immediately after a transaction completes. The important catch is that PromptFund uses a price offered by Krungthai—not the fund’s net asset value (NAV). Customers can review that price before confirming.
What PromptFund does—and when it launched
Krungthai announced PromptFund in August 2026 as a forthcoming service. A 24 September 2026 launch report carrying a Krungthai press release subsequently reported that it had launched. The service is described as allowing customers to receive fund units after a completed purchase or cash after a completed sale, rather than waiting for the fund’s usual dealing and settlement process.
Krungthai’s August announcement contrasted the service with a general settlement period of 1–5 business days for existing fund transactions. That is the bank’s broad comparison, not a settlement rule that applies to every mutual fund.
How to access it
- Krungthai NEXT: The bank says customers can make PromptFund transactions through the app 24 hours a day, every day.
- Branches: Customers can also access the service at Krungthai branches during their normal operating hours; branches are not a 24/7 channel.
The service is intended to provide immediate delivery of units or cash once the real-time transaction is completed. The announcements do not specify transaction limits or detailed eligibility requirements.

PromptFund price is not the fund’s NAV
PromptFund changes both the transaction counterparty and the price basis. With PromptFund, the customer transacts with Krungthai at the bank’s offered buy or sell price. Krungthai explicitly says that price is not the fund’s NAV, and says customers can see the offered price before confirming.
Under the standard route, the customer transacts with the fund management company at its offered NAV and follows that fund’s ordinary dealing and settlement conditions. The sources do not provide comparative price data, so they do not establish that either route is always cheaper or better.

The named pilot fund
Krungthai identified KTAM’s open-ended KTSV-KTB government money-market fund as the PromptFund pilot. The bank’s announcement describes it as risk level 1 and says it invests mainly in government debt instruments. It presents short-term liquidity management and holding cash while waiting for other investment opportunities as possible uses; those are the bank’s descriptions, not personalized investment advice.
The announcement does not establish the full current list of participating funds. Check current Krungthai and fund documents to confirm whether a particular fund is available and to review its terms.
What to check before confirming a transaction
- Check the fund: Read the fund information, conditions, expected returns and risks, as Krungthai advises.
- Review the quoted price: Compare the bank’s displayed PromptFund price with the fund information relevant to your decision. Do not treat the bank’s quote as NAV.
- Confirm the route suits your needs: PromptFund offers immediacy through the bank; a standard transaction follows the fund manager’s normal price and settlement process. The available announcements do not show that one route consistently offers a better price.
Immediate settlement does not remove investment risk. The service announcements do not state how PromptFund’s quote is calculated, any transaction limits, or complete eligibility rules; customers should confirm current details with Krungthai before trading.

September launch coverage describes PromptFund as using blockchain and places it within Thailand’s digital securities ecosystem. That is a description in Krungthai launch materials and related reporting; the sources do not independently test the implementation or establish that blockchain is used at every stage of each transaction. The launch coverage is a bank press release carried by an outlet, not independent performance testing.
