GeekWire reported in April 2024 that an SEC filing indicated $2.1 million in fresh capital for KredosAI, a Seattle-area startup that helps businesses communicate with customers who have overdue payments. The company did not disclose the round’s amount, according to GeekWire. KredosAi later announced a $7 million Series A in July 2026, led by BMW i Ventures.

What the 2024 funding report said

GeekWire’s April 4, 2024 report said a new SEC filing showed $2.1 million in fresh capital for KredosAI. The same report said the company declined to disclose the amount and identified StartFast Ventures as the round’s lead investor. It also reported that KredosAI had previously raised around $1 million. The $2.1 million figure should therefore be understood as GeekWire’s account of the filing, not an amount the company publicly announced. GeekWire, April 4, 2024

What KredosAi does

KredosAi sells enterprise software for the period after a customer’s payment is overdue but before the account is written off or referred to collections. The company says its platform uses behavioral science and AI to tailor the message, channel, and timing of customer outreach rather than sending the same campaign to everyone. Its stated aim is to help businesses recover overdue revenue while maintaining customer relationships. KredosAi

In its 2026 materials, KredosAi says it integrates with FICO Platform and identifies Anderson Brothers Bank as an enterprise client. Those are company statements; the cited materials do not independently establish customer outcomes or compare the platform’s performance with other vendors. KredosAi

The later $7 million Series A

On July 2, 2026, KredosAi announced a $7 million Series A led by BMW i Ventures. The company said the round was oversubscribed and named Motley Fool Ventures and Walter Ventures as new backers, alongside existing investors Okapi Venture Capital, StartFast Ventures, SaaS Ventures, and Stout Street Capital. BMW Group separately confirmed the $7 million round and BMW i Ventures’ lead role on July 9, 2026. KredosAi’s announcement; BMW Group’s announcement

KredosAi said it would use the new capital to expand into financial services and auto lending, develop its product, and grow its team. This later financing means the April 2024 filing is historical, not the company’s latest known funding round as of October 8, 2026.

What the company says about results

KredosAi’s July 2026 announcement reported an 11.5% reduction in write-off rates, a 13.6% increase in customer lifetime value, and more than $50 million in annual bottom-line benefit for some large enterprises. It also said the platform processed more than 200 million customer interactions over two years and that revenue grew more than sixfold over that period. These are company-reported figures; the cited materials do not provide independent verification or enough detail to treat them as typical results for a customer. KredosAi’s announcement

Founding date and location

The published accounts differ on when KredosAi was founded: GeekWire’s 2024 story gives 2020, while the company’s 2026 materials give 2021. The discrepancy is unresolved in those accounts. The 2024 report describes the startup as Seattle-based; GeekWire’s 2026 coverage places it in Issaquah, Washington. The materials name Balaji Sridharan and Dave Thoms as co-founders.
