Koodo’s Boxing Week 2025 offers were reported at $40/month for 50GB, $45 for 70GB and $75 for 100GB of Canada-wide data. A later offer added 60GB for $40/month with Canada–U.S.–Mexico roaming. The $40 prices depended on an automatic-payment discount, and these are historical promotions—not confirmed current prices as of August 18, 2026.
What Koodo’s Boxing Week plans included
The reported lineup changed during the promotion. On December 12, 2025, coverage listed three Canada-wide plans. On December 28, a separate report said Koodo had brought back a $40 plan with Canada–U.S.–Mexico roaming. A January 4, 2026 report still listed all four offers, but did not give an end date.
| Reported price | Data | Coverage | What was reported |
|---|---|---|---|
| $40/month | 50GB | Canada | Price reported after an automatic-payment discount. December 12, 2025 report |
| $45/month | 70GB | Canada | The report listed this price but did not establish whether it included the same automatic-payment discount. |
| $75/month | 100GB | Canada | Higher data allowance; the report did not establish whether the displayed price included an automatic-payment discount. |
| $40/month | 60GB | Canada, U.S. and Mexico | Later Boxing Week offer reported to include talk, text and data roaming; the price was tied to the applicable automatic-payment discount. December 28, 2025 report |
The December lineup was not necessarily the full promotion: the 60GB roaming offer appeared later. The January 4, 2026 report listed the same four offers and said no end date had been posted at that point.
Which offer made sense for which customer?
$40 for 50GB: Canada-only value
This was the simplest reported option for someone who mostly used their phone in Canada and did not need more than 50GB. Its headline price depended on the applicable automatic-payment discount, so compare the undiscounted rate and your actual checkout total before switching.

$45 for 70GB: more data for $5 more
Compared with the $40/50GB offer, the reported $45 plan cost $5 more per month for 20GB more data. That is the stronger data-per-dollar choice if you regularly use more than 50GB, assuming both prices are calculated on the same discount basis.
$75 for 100GB: only worthwhile for very high usage
The 100GB plan provided the largest reported Canadian allowance, but it cost $30 more per month than the 70GB plan for an additional 30GB. If your typical use stays below 70GB, that extra monthly cost may not buy useful capacity.
$40 for 60GB with Canada–U.S.–Mexico roaming
This later-reported offer was potentially the strongest fit for frequent travellers to the U.S. or Mexico, because coverage reports described talk, text and data as usable across all three countries. It was a different offer from the $40/50GB Canada-only plan, not simply a larger allowance on the same terms. The exact eligible destinations, fair-use limits, speeds and hotspot rules would need to be confirmed in the plan terms or order confirmation.
Do not confuse included roaming with Koodo’s separate Easy Roam travel passes. Koodo currently lists paid U.S. passes, including $25 for three days and $40 for seven days; those passes are not equivalent to a plan with roaming included.

Why the $40 headline was not necessarily the full bill
Koodo’s current auto-pay discount terms say eligible customers may receive up to $10 per month per subscriber through pre-authorized payments. New customers and existing customers who changed plans after April 8, 2025 may qualify on eligible plans; customers who joined earlier may have different terms. The historical reports tied the $40 prices to an automatic-payment discount, so do not treat $40 as an unconditional base rate.
Confirm the payment method that qualifies before relying on the discount. Koodo describes pre-authorized payment options and setup on its bill-payment help page. Taxes, applicable fees, connection or activation charges, and device financing can also affect what you pay. The historical reporting does not establish whether each price included those charges, nor does it settle the undiscounted base price for every offer.
What the data allowance does—and does not—tell you
A 50GB or 70GB headline is not enough to establish the plan’s exact data experience. The available historical reporting does not verify the Boxing Week plans’ speed tier, hotspot rules, rollover eligibility or what happened after the high-speed allowance was used. Contemporary third-party discussion described the offers as 5G, but that is not primary confirmation of the terms attached to a specific plan.
Koodo’s current Pick Your Perk plan documentation explains how some current plans treat high-speed data, reduced-speed use and rollover. Those generic, current terms should not be assumed to apply to a discontinued Boxing Week plan. For a specific customer, the plan details shown in the order confirmation are more useful than a generic description of Koodo’s present-day plans.

Who could get the promotion?
The public reports establish that these offers were advertised, not that every Koodo customer could select them. Availability can vary between a new activation, a BYOD signup, a device-financing purchase, a postpaid plan change, a prepaid account and a targeted offer shown in Self Serve, by SMS or through retention. The reports do not establish that prepaid customers or every existing subscriber qualified.
Koodo’s service terms say promotional eligibility can change and discounts may be removed or altered when conditions change or a customer changes plans. Before migrating an existing line, check whether the new offer replaces a loyalty discount, changes the auto-pay discount or requires a different rate-plan code. A plan visible in an advertisement or account page is not guaranteed to remain available through checkout.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How the offers compared with Fido and Virgin Plus
In its December 12, 2025 comparison, iPhone in Canada reported Fido offers at $40/50GB, $45/20GB and $45/70GB, and Virgin Plus offers at $40/50GB and $45/60GB. Koodo’s reported lineup was $40/50GB, $45/70GB and $75/100GB. The later Koodo $40/60GB Canada–U.S.–Mexico offer added a distinct roaming option, as reported on December 28.
These are dated comparisons, not current August 2026 offers. They show that Koodo’s 70GB plan was competitive on reported data allowance at $45, while the later roaming offer had a feature not captured by a Canada-only data comparison. The value depended on whether you needed that coverage and qualified for the price.

Could a prepaid plan be a better fit?
Koodo Prepaid is a separate billing arrangement: customers pay every 30 days rather than using the postpaid Boxing Week offers. Koodo’s current Prepaid page lists $39 per 30 days for 70GB without automatic top-up or 75GB with it. That is a current prepaid price signal, not evidence that the Boxing Week postpaid promotions were still available or that the plans have identical roaming, financing or account terms.
Prepaid may suit someone who wants to avoid a postpaid account or prefers a fixed 30-day payment cycle. Compare roaming, device financing and support terms as well as the data amount; the lowest headline price is not automatically the closest substitute.
Are Koodo’s Boxing Week deals still available?
Treat them as historical. The offers were reported continuing on January 4, 2026, and a January 9 comparison said the Boxing Week promotions from Koodo, Fido and Virgin Plus had ended and their regular lineups had changed. That January 9 report does not establish what Koodo offers today. As of August 18, 2026, there is no confirmation here that any Boxing Week price remains obtainable; rely on a live Koodo offer and checkout, not an old sale listing.
