Check the discount shown for your specific offer before switching.
How much is Koodo’s AutoPay discount?
Koodo describes the maximum as “up to $10 per month for each subscriber on an eligible in-market rate plan.” That is not a guarantee that every plan or account qualifies. The company’s current Auto-pay discount page distinguishes customers by when they joined or changed plans:

Koodo says customers who change plans move to the current discount offer. The amounts above describe the discount rules, not a verified $5 difference between particular plan cards. The captured plan-price information does not establish a universal before-and-after price, and the live offer can vary by plan and account.
Why the plan price may look $5 higher without AutoPay
A plan card may display a price that assumes a discount, while a customer who does not qualify or enrolls in an eligible payment method may not receive it. But the $5 figure in the headline is not a reliable description of all new Koodo plans: the current page assigns $5 to a pre-April 8, 2025 customer cohort, while qualifying new customers and customers changing plans after that date may receive $10 per line.

To compare offers, use the same plan and line up the advertised price with and without the AutoPay credit, eligibility and payment method, your customer or plan-change date, data and included features, province and taxes, and the bill on which the credit starts. Koodo’s BYOD plans page describes current plan features, but features such as 5G speed, unlimited Canada-wide minutes, unlimited international SMS, and a choice of perk do not establish a specific AutoPay-adjusted price. Prices and promotions can change; confirm the live plan details and whether its displayed price already includes the credit.
Who qualifies, and which payment methods count?
AutoPay enrollment alone does not qualify a line. The rate plan must also be eligible, and Koodo says qualifying payment types can depend on when you activated or last changed the plan. For the post-April 8, 2025 $10 offer, Koodo specifies pre-authorized bank payments. Its page notes a credit-card exception for Quebec customers in connection with the earlier $5 offer.

Koodo’s general bill-payment setup supports withdrawals from a chequing account, credit card, Visa Debit, or Mastercard Debit, but those payment options should not be confused with the narrower payment rules for the discount. Check the eligibility attached to your own account and plan in Self Serve or the plan details before relying on a quoted price.
How to set up pre-authorized payments
- Sign in to Koodo Self Serve.
- Open My profile, then manage pre-authorized payments.
- Select an eligible payment method for the discount attached to your plan and account.
- Confirm the plan’s AutoPay eligibility and displayed discount in your account. Koodo’s pre-authorized payment setup instructions explain the enrollment process.
When the credit starts—and what can stop it
Koodo says the credit begins on the next bill after both the eligible plan and payment setup are complete; it does not prorate the bill already in progress. Since Koodo bills recurring plan and feature charges one month in advance, the timing of a setup or plan change can matter when you inspect the first bill. Its Service Terms, updated May 1, 2026, also say promotions and their eligibility requirements may change or be removed.

- A plan change can change the discount amount or make the line ineligible.
Before switching, inspect the offer on the plan details page and in Self Serve. The account-specific eligibility is more useful than assuming every Koodo plan has the same AutoPay price difference.
