Daniel Craig is the only principal cast member for whom this evidence establishes a dated figure—and two outlets report conflicting estimates: $200 million from Celebrity Net Worth, updated April 16, 2026, and $160 million reported by Biography.com as of November 2025. Neither figure is an audited disclosure, so it is more accurate to present them as estimates than to declare a definitive richest-cast ranking.
Why a full-cast ranking would be misleading
Knives Out is a 2019 mystery written and directed by Rian Johnson. Lionsgate’s official cast list includes Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford and other performers.

Who is in the film—and why character wealth is different
Lionsgate’s synopsis identifies Craig as detective Benoit Blanc and lists the principal ensemble. Vogue describes the Thrombey family roles: Jamie Lee Curtis plays Linda, Don Johnson plays Richard, Chris Evans plays Ransom, Toni Collette plays Joni, and Michael Shannon plays Walt; Ana de Armas plays Marta, Harlan’s nurse and friend.
The characters’ fictional wealth is not evidence of the actors’ personal finances. TIME reported Johnson’s view of the story’s focus: “But Marta is genuinely the main character.” The film’s treatment of inheritance and class belongs to its fictional story; it cannot establish the cast members’ net worth.

What can—and cannot—be concluded
- The available dated net-worth figures cover Daniel Craig alone, not the entire cast.

- Reported pay for a role, a film’s box-office performance or a character’s fictional fortune would not, by itself, establish an actor’s current net worth.
For those reasons, a headline-style list naming the “richest” Knives Out actor cannot be supported by these sources. The defensible answer is that Craig has two conflicting published estimates, while a comparable ranking of the ensemble remains unestablished.
