Amazon says its Kindle Click remote works with Kindle models released in 2024 or later. It is a separate Bluetooth page-turner; Amazon’s button-equipped cover is a different accessory, compatible only with the 2026 Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition. Amazon Japan announced prices of ¥5,180 for Kindle Click and ¥11,980 for the cover, while TechCrunch reported a US Kindle Click launch price of $34.99. These are market-specific launch prices, not guarantees of today’s checkout price.
How the options differ
“Bluetooth page-turner” can refer to more than one kind of product. Kindle Click is Amazon’s dedicated, separate remote for supported Kindles. Clip-on page-turners generally work by physically actuating the screen. Amazon’s button-equipped cover puts page controls on the cover itself. Those differences affect compatibility and whether the controls are separate from or attached to the reader.
| Option | How it turns pages | Compatibility established | Price evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Kindle Click | Separate Bluetooth remote | Kindle models released in 2024 or later, according to Amazon Japan | ¥5,180 announced in Japan by Amazon; $34.99 US launch price reported by TechCrunch |
| Amazon cover with page-turn buttons | Physical buttons built into a magnetic cover | 2026 Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and 2026 Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, according to Amazon Japan | ¥11,980 announced in Japan by Amazon |
| Third-party clip-on page-turner | Clip physically actuates the display | Not established for particular models; check the specific product’s documentation and fit | No dependable current category price established |
Will Kindle Click work with your Kindle?
Amazon’s stated threshold is Kindle models released from 2024 onward. That is not a claim that the remote works with every Kindle, nor does it establish compatibility for an older device just because that device has Bluetooth. Check the model and generation using Amazon’s Kindle identification guide before buying.
Some older Kindle Oasis generations already have physical page-turn buttons, as Amazon’s identification guide notes. If your device has buttons built in, you may not need a separate remote or a screen-actuating accessory.

Can any Bluetooth remote turn Kindle pages?
No general compatibility claim is established. Amazon’s Bluetooth help page explains pairing supported Bluetooth devices for audio and VoiceView commands, and says Bluetooth phone, keyboard, and mouse pairing is unsupported. It does not confirm that arbitrary Bluetooth clickers or third-party Bluetooth page-turners can control page turns. Bluetooth pairing support alone is not proof of page-turn support.
Amazon’s help page gives this general pairing path for supported Bluetooth devices:

- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
- Open Kindle settings and enable Bluetooth.
- Scan for nearby devices.
- Select the device and connect.
That procedure describes pairing, not a guarantee that an unlisted remote will turn pages. For third-party products, look for explicit documentation naming your exact Kindle model and page-turn function. The reviewed sources do not provide a reliable model-by-model compatibility list.
What to know about clip-on page-turners
Clip-on remotes are a separate category from Kindle Click: reporting describes many as using a clip to actuate the Kindle’s display. That may make them worth investigating for an older Kindle, but category-level information is not enough to confirm fit or function. Before choosing one, check the product’s own compatibility details, the Kindle model it names, and whether its clip and operation suit your device setup. No universal compatible clip-on model is established here.

What do the announced prices tell you?
Prices differ by market and announcement date. Amazon Japan announced Kindle Click at ¥5,180, tax included, and its button-equipped cover at ¥11,980. Amazon said preorders began October 1, 2026, with shipment expected in mid-November, while noting release or shipment dates could change. These are Japan announcement details, not a promise of current availability or price elsewhere.
TechCrunch reported a $34.99 US launch price for Kindle Click. Treat that as secondary launch reporting, not a current US checkout quote. Check the relevant Amazon marketplace for live price, stock, shipping, and the exact model wording before buying.

Which option makes sense for your situation?
- You have a Kindle released in 2024 or later: Kindle Click is the separate remote with an explicit Amazon compatibility threshold. Confirm your model generation before purchase.
- You have one of the named 2026 Signature Edition models: Compare Kindle Click with the compatible button-equipped cover. The cover keeps its buttons attached to the Kindle; its stated compatibility is limited to those two models.
- You have an older Kindle: Do not assume Kindle Click or a generic Bluetooth clicker will work. A clip-on screen-actuating product is a possible category to investigate, but verify the exact device and fit.
- You already own an Oasis with physical page buttons: Those built-in controls may already meet the need.
