What SKIMS raised in November 2025
SKIMS announced it had raised $225 million at a $5 billion valuation on November 12, 2025. Goldman Sachs Alternatives led the round, with affiliated funds of BDT & MSD Partners also participating. The announcement describes capital raised by the company; it does not say Kardashian sold shares or disclose how much, if any, of the proceeds went to her personally. Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s announcement and Reuters’ report republished by Investing.com reported the deal terms.
How Forbes’ estimate of Kardashian’s wealth changed
Forbes’ November 2025 coverage estimated Kardashian’s net worth at $1.9 billion after the financing, compared with its prior estimate of $1.7 billion. Forbes attributed roughly $200 million of the increase to the deal. Those are Forbes estimates, not audited personal financial statements or figures published by SKIMS. Forbes’ profile search-result excerpt, marked updated June 3, 2026, says the vast majority of Kardashian’s fortune comes from her SKIMS stake and identifies the company’s post-round value as $5 billion. Why a $5 billion company valuation is not $5 billion in personal wealth
A valuation is an estimate of what a company is worth, not a statement of how much money its founders own in cash. A founder’s personal wealth estimate can include the estimated value of an ownership stake alongside other assets and liabilities. The funding announcement identifies SKIMS as raising capital; it does not report a sale of Kardashian’s shares, her exact ownership percentage, or a cash payment to her. Forbes’ $1.9 billion figure is its estimate of her overall net worth, not the company’s valuation.

What SKIMS said the funding would support
The company said it planned to use the proceeds for physical retail and international growth, product innovation, and expansion in apparel and activewear, while continuing to invest in intimates and shapewear. At the time of the announcement, SKIMS reported 18 owned stores in the United States and two franchise locations in Mexico. It said its products were available through SKIMS.com, permanent stores, and select retailers, and identified NikeSKIMS as a partnership. The company was co-founded in 2019 by Kardashian, its chief creative officer, and Jens Grede, its CEO.
More than $1 billion in 2025 net sales was a forecast
SKIMS said in November 2025 that it expected to exceed $1 billion in net sales for 2025. That was a company forecast, not a verified full-year result in the sources available here. Bloomberg’s November 12, 2025 report also described the expectation as a forecast. The funding announcement and Reuters report likewise treated the figure as expected sales, not reported actuals.
