Forbes’s on-field category is broader than fixed salary: its methodology says the estimates include “base salaries, bonuses and, in some cases, club-based image rights agreements.” The $35 million figure should not be read as a disclosed Manchester City salary. Nor does Forbes assign a dollar amount to any individual sponsorship in the profile.
What is Kevin De Bruyne’s current salary?
“Current” depends on the season being discussed. Manchester City announced in April 2025 that De Bruyne would leave when his contract expired that summer. Capology labels its figures as estimates. Gross salary is not take-home pay, and its fixed-salary estimates should not be added to Forbes’s season-earnings total as if the figures measured the same thing: Forbes uses a different methodology and currency, and its on-field total may include bonuses and image rights.
Napoli’s official announcement confirmed the signing and start date but did not disclose compensation. ANSA reported a two-year deal with an option for a third and compensation terms; those are media-reported terms, not figures published by the club. Without an official club disclosure, treat reported contract amounts separately from Capology’s gross salary estimates rather than combining them.

Who sponsors Kevin De Bruyne?
Forbes’s October 2024 profile named Nike, McDonald’s and Therabody among De Bruyne’s brand deals; its sponsor field listed Nike and Therabody.
