Kerala SET July 2024 registration is over. Contemporary reports gave April 30, 2024 as the final application deadline; the exam was held on July 28, 2024, and results were published on September 3, 2024. The old application link should not be treated as usable now. For a later cycle, check the current notification on the LBS Centre for Science and Technology’s official website.
What happened to the July 2024 application deadline?
The initial schedule reported in March 2024 set registration from March 16 to April 15, with a later deadline for fee payment. The application deadline was subsequently extended. Reports on April 25 described April 30 as the closing date, and an April 30 report also identified it as the final day to apply.
That deadline applies only to the July 2024 cycle. Registration for it has closed, so an old “direct link to apply online” is not a current application route.
When was the exam, and when were results published?
The Kerala government-hosted result record states that the July 2024 Kerala SET was conducted on July 28, 2024, and that results were published on September 3, 2024.

One deadline-day news report gave June 28 as the expected exam date, but that conflicts with the official result record. The official record supports July 28.
How was the Kerala SET structured?
The July 2024 prospectus describes two papers:
- Paper I: A common paper for all candidates, covering General Knowledge and Aptitude in Teaching.
- Paper II: Based on the candidate’s postgraduate subject specialization.
The prospectus also states that application fees were accepted online only and were non-refundable once paid. These are details from the July 2024 prospectus, not confirmed rules for a later cycle.
Where should applicants check a later cycle?
Use the LBS Centre for Science and Technology’s official website to locate the live SET notification and application portal. The official portal has displayed later cycles, but cycle pages and dates change. Confirm the cycle name, eligibility, fee, application dates, and instructions in the current notification before applying; do not rely on a 2024 link or schedule.

The two-paper format gives candidates a practical way to assess preparation resources. Check that a resource covers the shared Paper I topics and matches the candidate’s Paper II subject. For previous-question collections, confirm that the questions and edition are relevant to the target cycle. No particular book or collection is required by the July 2024 prospectus.
