Celebrity Net Worth lists an estimate of $80 million, but Knightley has not publicly disclosed a balance sheet establishing that amount. It is best understood as an estimate, not a confirmed measure of her wealth.
What is Keira Knightley’s net worth?
Celebrity Net Worth lists Keira Knightley’s net worth as $80 million and says its page was last updated September 25, 2026. That figure is a third-party estimate; no primary disclosure or independently established calculation is provided in the sources reviewed. It should not be stated as a verified fact.
Net worth means assets minus liabilities. Film earnings, company income, salary, dividends, taxes, and personal assets are different measures, and none of the historical figures discussed below establishes her current net worth.
What Knightley has said about reported earnings
The reported £36 million in annual earnings
In a 2011 interview with The Guardian, Knightley was asked about a Forbes ranking and a report that she had earned £36 million in a year. She replied: “No, I’ve never earned anywhere near what it’s reported I’ve earned.” Her response directly disputes that specific reported annual earnings figure; it does not establish her total wealth.

The $50,000-a-year living-cost claim
In a 2014 interview with TIME, Knightley denied an internet claim that she lived on $50,000 a year: “That’s not true. I mean, I wish it was true. That would be incredible—it’s a good amount of money to live on. But no.”
Her separate comment about a 2012 salary
In a different 2014 interview with Glamour, Knightley was asked whether she had allotted herself a salary of around $50,000 in 2012. She answered: “Yes, it’s something around that. I mean, if I want or need something that goes over that, I get it, but, yes, around that.” This described an approximate personal salary arrangement for that period, not her annual living costs, total income, assets, or net worth. The two 2014 comments addressed different questions and are not necessarily contradictory.
What the historical company figures mean
A 2013 Independent report discussed accounts for Kck Boo Ltd, reporting £1.5 million in company earnings from film and modeling work, alongside £11,000 in wages and £20,000 in dividends for a particular year. The article also cited an estimated £30 million wealth figure attributed to the Sunday Times Rich List.
These are dated secondary reports, not a current personal net-worth calculation. Company earnings are not the same as the amount an individual owns: company costs, taxes, distributions, personal assets, liabilities, and ownership all affect what can be inferred. The reported £30 million estimate also belongs to its historical context and is not directly comparable with a later estimate in a different currency and without an established shared methodology.

How to interpret the figures
- $80 million: a Celebrity Net Worth estimate, with the page stating it was last updated September 25, 2026—not a verified personal disclosure.
- £36 million: a reported annual earnings figure Knightley explicitly disputed in 2011.
- About $50,000: in 2014 she denied living on that amount per year, while separately describing an approximate personal salary arrangement at that level in 2012.
- £1.5 million, £11,000, and £20,000: historical company earnings, wages, and dividends reported for Kck Boo Ltd, not a statement of current personal wealth.
Because these numbers refer to different things, dates, and currencies, averaging them or treating them as competing current net-worth valuations would be misleading.
