Julie Roehm is a marketing and transformation executive whose career has spanned automotive, enterprise software, retail and security. Convergint currently lists her as its Chief Marketing Officer. Purdue’s 2024 alumni profile identifies her as a 1993 civil engineering graduate and describes her work across those industries. The available sources establish a long, multi-industry career, but not an exact, uninterrupted 30-year employment timeline.

From engineering to marketing leadership

Roehm’s career began with an engineering education. Purdue’s Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering says she earned a BSCE in 1993. Its April 4, 2024 profile connects that technical background with her later work in marketing and transformation across several industries.

That shift is a useful lens on her career: her public profile is not limited to brand promotion. It also emphasizes organizational change, customer experience and the work of translating a company’s products and services into stories customers can understand. These are themes Roehm describes in her own writing, rather than independently measured evidence of business impact.

Automotive work at Ford and Chrysler

Roehm’s automotive career included Ford and Chrysler. In her first-person biography, she recounts leaving Ford for Chrysler during a difficult period for the company and describes work associated with the Dodge brand and the Hemi engine. Those details are her account of her experience; they should not be read as an independent assessment of the results or as proof that her work alone caused any business outcome.

Her biography also conveys the approach she says she brings to challenging situations: “I may not always be right, but I am always pushing and never complacent and as a result, I move the ball forward.” The statement is a description of her own outlook, not an external evaluation.

At SAP, a focus on customer stories

Roehm later held the role of SVP Marketing, Customer Central at SAP. In a first-person essay, she says “Chief Storyteller” was an additional title and explains that the group aimed to humanize SAP by sharing customer stories: how the company’s technology helped businesses and, in turn, their customers.

That account illustrates how she describes marketing’s role: making a complex enterprise-software offering more relatable by showing its use through customers’ experiences. It documents her stated remit and philosophy, not a verified measure of the team’s commercial effect.

Party City and Convergint

Roehm’s site describes her as Party City’s Chief Marketing and Experience Officer in a post about customer experience and her career. That is a former role. A Purdue profile published in 2024 identifies her as Convergint’s CMO, and Convergint’s current executive leadership page lists her as Chief Marketing Officer.

The progression extends her work from consumer retail into security, while keeping marketing and customer experience at the center of her public career profile.

How Roehm frames transformation and adversity

Across her first-person writing, Roehm returns to transformation, customer journeys and persistence through adversity. Her site says she is often asked how to succeed in the face of adversity, and one post uses the experience of 2020 as a prompt to reflect on career challenges. These sources show how she presents her approach; they do not establish a universal formula for success or independently validate every outcome associated with her roles.

For readers assessing her career, the distinction between biography and evidence matters. Employer and university pages establish how those organizations describe her roles and background. Her own accounts add detail about what she says she did and how she thinks about the work. Neither type of source, on its own, verifies every claimed business result.
