The April 6 application deadline for the JSSC primary-teacher recruitment reported as JPSTAACCE was April 6, 2024—it has passed. Scroll reported 26,001 vacancies and summarized an application fee of ₹100, reduced to ₹50 for the specified Jharkhand SC/ST category. The available reports do not establish the recruitment’s latest official status, so this is a historical announcement, not an open application notice.

What the announcement covered

Scroll reported that the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) was recruiting primary teachers through an examination for 26,001 posts. Its March 28, 2024 report said candidates could register through April 6, 2024. That deadline is no longer actionable. The report is a secondary account of the announcement, not confirmation that an application portal remains open or that the recruitment has concluded.

Read Scroll’s March 28, 2024 report on the April deadline and application summary. A separate Scroll report from August 2023 also described 26,001 posts, but its application dates were different.

Exam name: follow the applicable notice

The reporting uses more than one name and acronym, so a reader should not assume every version identifies an identical notice or application period. The March 2024 report calls the examination the “Jharkhand Primary School Trained Assistant Acharya Combined Competitive Examination” and uses “JPSCTAACCE.” The August 2023 report calls it the “Jharkhand Trained Primary Teacher Combined Competitive Examination,” uses “JPSTAACCE,” and says the name changed to “JPSAACCE-2023.”

When checking an application record, correction, admit card, or result, match the title and acronym printed on the relevant official JSSC notice. The variation in secondary reports alone does not resolve which notice governs a particular candidate or stage.

Two reported application periods

The 2023 and 2024 reports give distinct timelines. The available material does not explain how the later registration period related to the earlier one; do not combine them into a single continuous application window.

Report Reported dates How to interpret them
August 16, 2023 Applications opened August 16, 2023; deadline September 15, 2023; correction window September 21–23, 2023. Historical dates from the 2023 report. It said the opening had been planned for August 8 before being moved.
March 28, 2024 Registration reported open through April 6, 2024. Historical deadline reported in 2024; it has passed.

Read Scroll’s August 16, 2023 report on the earlier application schedule. These dates come from reporting, and the sources do not establish whether an amendment or a later notice changed any individual candidate’s schedule.

Reported application fee

Both Scroll reports stated an examination fee of ₹100 and a reduced fee of ₹50 for SC/ST candidates. The 2024 report specifically described the concession as applying to SC/ST candidates from Jharkhand. Because the reports do not establish the full controlling category definitions or payment rules, candidates should consult the relevant official notice rather than treat the summary as a complete fee schedule.

How the reported application process worked

Scroll’s summaries describe the usual sequence for the historical application, but they do not establish that these steps can still be completed now. The 2024 report directed candidates to the JSSC “Application Forms (Apply)” section.

  1. Open the JSSC “Application Forms (Apply)” section for the relevant notice.
  2. Complete the online form and upload the requested documents.
  3. Pay the applicable examination fee.
  4. Submit the application and retain a printout for your records.

The 2023 report likewise described registration, form completion, document upload, fee payment, submission, and printing. Neither secondary summary supplies a verified current application link or confirms that a portal remains live.

What is not established by these reports

The accessible reporting does not provide enough verified detail to give candidates a reliable account of the recruitment’s full rules or current outcome. In particular, it does not establish:

  • the latest official recruitment status, including whether results or further notices have been issued;
  • detailed educational qualifications, age limits, or reservation rules;
  • the complete selection stages or their current schedule; or
  • whether the fee categories and application procedure in the reports remain applicable under a later notice or amendment.

The 2023 article linked JSSC documents, including a deferment notice and brochures, but those documents are not reproduced in the accessible reporting. Without the controlling notice and any amendments, candidates should not infer eligibility, selection requirements, or results from the vacancy count and date summaries alone.

What candidates should do now

Anyone checking an application or recruitment outcome should start with JSSC’s official notices and identify the notice by its stated examination name, acronym, and date. Check for amendments or later notices before relying on a schedule, fee, or rule quoted in a news report. If you are reviewing a past application, keep its submitted form and payment confirmation and compare them with the notice that governed your application period.

The available reports support a historical summary—26,001 posts, two separately reported application periods, and the fee figures above—but they do not verify the latest official result or current process status. Do not treat the April 6, 2024 date as an invitation to apply.
