The headline “JSSC CGL 2023 exam date released; admit cards soon at jssc.nic.in” refers to a January 2024 update about the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination 2023 (JGGLCCE 2023), commonly called JSSC CGL 2023. That notice reported exams on January 28 and February 4, 2024, with admit cards still forthcoming. The exam was later held on September 21–22, 2024, so neither the January dates nor “soon” is a current alert.
What did the January 10, 2024 JSSC CGL date announcement say?
Scroll reported on January 10, 2024 that the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) had scheduled JGGLCCE 2023 for January 28 and February 4, 2024. The report said this replaced the earlier December 16–17, 2023 schedule and that the admit-card link would be posted at jssc.nic.in in due course. The announcement concerned Advertisement Nos. 10/2023 and 11/2023. Scroll’s January 10 report
When were the JSSC CGL 2023 admit cards released?
Scroll reported on January 22, 2024 that JSSC had released the JGGLCCE 2023 admit cards. Its instructions for registered candidates were to visit jssc.nic.in, open the JGGLCCE 2023 admit-card link, enter login details, download the document and print it. This is a historical account of the release, not evidence that an admit card is available now. Scroll’s January 22 report
What were the final reported exam dates?
The January schedule was later superseded. Careers360 reported on September 17, 2024 that the examination would take place on September 21 and 22, 2024, and that admit cards had been issued. The examination has therefore already taken place; the January 2024 dates are not the final dates reported for the exam. Careers360’s September 17 report

Why do reports show different January dates?
The reporting does not provide one fully verified chronology for the interim schedule. The Times of India reported on December 13, 2023 that the exam had been postponed from December and set for January 21 and 28, 2024. Scroll’s January 10 report instead described January 28 and February 4 as the replacement dates. The Times of India attributed the December postponement to the selected examination agency being unavailable. Because the underlying official notice could not be retrieved, these dates and the stated reason should be understood as claims in their respective reports, not silently combined into a definitive schedule history. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What should candidates take away from the old headline?
- “JSSC CGL 2023 exam date” and “JSSC CGL 2023 admit card” refer here to JGGLCCE 2023, not a current exam notification.
- The January 10 article announced January dates and said admit cards were forthcoming; Scroll subsequently reported their release on January 22.
- Later reporting placed the exam on September 21–22, 2024.
- For any current JSSC recruitment, use the specific, current notification on the commission’s site rather than relying on this historical schedule.
Reports also differ on the number of vacancies: Scroll’s January 22 article said 2,017, while the Times of India’s December 13 article said 2,025. Those secondary reports do not establish a definitive figure, so it should not be treated as settled here.
