CEO Colette Courtion confirmed the raise to GeekWire. The company said the money would support the launch and growth of its partnership with Halle Berry, an investor in Joylux and founder of the midlife wellness brand Respin.
What Joylux’s $4.5 million raise means
The funding is a historical company-financing announcement, not a report of a new 2026 raise. GeekWire reported the $4.5 million figure and $22 million in total funding on December 16, 2024, attributing confirmation to Joylux CEO Colette Courtion. The article described the capital as intended to help launch the Berry partnership. GeekWire’s 2024 report does not establish Joylux’s present financial condition or subsequent funding.
GeekWire also reported that Joylux’s direct-to-consumer business had grown 162% year over year and that the company employed 15 people. Those are figures reported in 2024, with no measurement period or underlying financial data specified for the growth rate; they should not be read as current operating metrics.
How Halle Berry and Respin fit in
The partnership was announced on September 24, 2024. Joylux described Berry as both an investor and Respin’s founder, making the relationship more than a celebrity endorsement. The collaboration began with two products: LET’S SPIN intimacy gel and a Respin-branded special-edition vFit Plus device. In Joylux’s announcement, Berry said, “When I realized that the product I needed wasn’t on the market, I decided to make it myself.” Joylux attributed the quote to Respin Founder Halle Berry.

What is known about the reported gel study
Joylux’s September 2024 announcement reported pre-launch consumer-study findings for LET’S SPIN: 97% of women felt it enhanced comfort, 94% found it soothing and enjoyable to use, and 93% experienced more pleasure. The announcement passage does not state the sample size or methodology. These are company-reported findings, not independently established results or a guarantee of an individual user’s experience.

What Joylux sells beyond the partnership
Joylux’s product range includes devices, intimacy gels, vaginal hydration products, intimate care, and accessories. Its Canadian vFit page describes the device as designed by an ob-gyn and using red light, gentle heat, and sonic vibration; the page recommends use approximately every other day and describes the material as body-safe medical-grade silicone. On that page, Joylux says vFit Plus has increased LED power, an additional 12-minute session time, and more vibration modes than the original vFit. This is the manufacturer’s comparison. Joylux’s homepage describes vFit as a low-risk general health and wellness product designated by the FDA; that wording is not evidence that the FDA approved or cleared it to treat a disease.

Retail plans and what they do not prove
GeekWire reported in December 2024 that Joylux products were carried by Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Goop, Neiman Marcus, Ulta, and other retail or health partners, and that the company planned to grow with international partner Essity. Joylux’s September 2024 partnership announcement named Joylux and planned online retailers including Respin, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Ulta, Neiman Marcus, Goop, and Amazon, as well as select physician offices. It also described planned availability in Canada and the United Kingdom through select partners.
Those reports describe distribution at the time or intended launch plans; they do not establish current stock or listings at any retailer. The announcement also does not establish an affiliate or referral program.
