No independently verified figure for Joyce Meyer’s personal net worth is established by the primary sources reviewed here. The available disclosures report her ministry compensation and the ministry’s organizational finances; neither provides a balance sheet of Meyer’s personal assets and debts.

What is Joyce Meyer’s net worth?

A reliable personal net-worth total is not available in the cited primary disclosures. Net worth means an individual’s assets minus liabilities. Ministry revenue, property, or net assets cannot be treated as Meyer’s personal wealth, and her disclosed compensation is not a net-worth figure.

This distinction matters because Joyce Meyer Ministries is a separate organization with its own financial statements. The ministry’s financial data reported to ECFA is not a personal accounting of Meyer’s holdings.

What compensation did the ministry disclose?

In a disclosure dated April 28, 2025, Joyce Meyer Ministries said its board-approved compensation for Meyer as ministry president in 2024 included $400,000 in salary and fringe benefits. The disclosure also mentions a housing allowance and retirement-plan contributions but does not state their amounts. The $400,000 figure therefore describes specified compensation for 2024, not total personal income or net worth.

The ministry also said that, during 2024, gross profits it received from Meyer’s books and honorariums it received from her speaking engagements exceeded the compensation stated above. That describes money received by the ministry; the disclosure does not quantify Meyer’s personal share or provide a total for her personal income. The ministry’s compensation disclosure was signed by its chief financial officer and says the information was released to provide transparency regarding ministry operations.

What do the ministry’s financial statements show?

ECFA’s comparative data, attributed to Joyce Meyer Ministries’ 2025 financial statements, reports these organizational figures:

2025 measure Amount What it describes
Total revenue $84,529,448 Ministry revenue
Total expenses $98,679,572 Ministry expenses
Annual deficit $14,150,124 Ministry’s reported excess of expenses over revenue
Total assets $43,092,203 Assets held by the ministry
Total liabilities $5,701,446 Liabilities reported by the ministry
Net assets $37,390,757 Ministry assets less ministry liabilities

The ministry’s $37,390,757 in net assets is not Meyer’s personal net worth. Likewise, revenue is not profit, and none of these organizational figures establishes what assets or liabilities Meyer personally holds.

How the ministry describes its financial accountability

Joyce Meyer Ministries says it voluntarily undergoes an annual audit by an independent public accounting firm, posts audited statements and any auditor attestation letters, and prepares financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Its financial-accountability page says 84 cents of each dollar given in 2025 went to outreaches and programs. The ministry’s annual-report page separately reports that more than 86 cents per dollar given in 2024 went to those purposes. These are ministry-reported spending proportions for different years, not measures of Meyer’s personal finances.

Why public charity filings do not establish personal net worth

The IRS describes Form 990 as an annual information return for most tax-exempt organizations, covering organizational activity, finances, governance, and compensation for certain people. It can help readers examine an organization’s finances, but it is not automatically a complete statement of an individual’s assets and liabilities. The IRS explains the form’s purpose and scope in its Form 990 overview.

The available disclosures do not document Meyer’s personal assets, liabilities, retained royalties, or personal speaking income in a way that supports a net-worth calculation. Without those figures, assigning her a precise total would go beyond what the cited records establish.
