Salary Sport lists an estimated £35,000 a week for him at Burnley in 2020, but that historical estimate does not show what he earned when he left. BBC Sport reported that he joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab on 11 September 2025.
What is known about Brownhill’s Burnley wage?
The only specific Burnley salary figure identified is Salary Sport’s historical estimate of £35,000 per week, or £1,820,000 per year, for 2020. It is an estimate for that year, not a verified figure for the end of his Burnley spell. You can see the listing on Salary Sport.
No dependable official salary disclosure or published figure establishing his final Burnley wage was identified. It would therefore be misleading to describe the 2020 estimate as his departure-date pay.
What is his reported current salary at Al-Shabab?
Brownhill is no longer at Burnley: BBC Sport reported his move to Al-Shabab on 11 September 2025. Capology estimates his 2026–27 Al-Shabab gross fixed salary at €117,692 per week, or €6,120,000 per year, excluding bonuses. This is an estimate for Al-Shabab, not a Burnley wage. Capology says its salary figures are estimates and do not represent official figures; it also cautions that historical coverage may be limited or incomplete. How to read the two figures
| Club and period | Published figure | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Burnley, 2020 | £35,000 per week; £1,820,000 per year | Salary Sport’s historical estimate only; it does not establish Brownhill’s final Burnley wage. Source. |
| Al-Shabab, 2026–27 | €117,692 gross fixed per week; €6,120,000 per year, excluding bonuses | Capology’s estimate for Al-Shabab, not Burnley; not an official disclosure. Source. |
These are not a like-for-like comparison of his pay over time: they cover different clubs and periods, use different currencies and come from different estimating sources. The later Al-Shabab estimate cannot be used to calculate his Burnley wage.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the final Burnley figure remains uncertain
Published salary estimates are not the same as a club or player confirming contract terms. Capology explicitly labels its figures estimates, while the historical Salary Sport listing does not settle what Brownhill earned at the end of his Burnley contract. Transfermarkt lists Al-Shabab as his current club and a contract expiration date of 30 June 2027, but that profile information does not verify a Burnley salary. View the Transfermarkt profile.
