There is no confirmed public figure for John Goodman’s net worth in the sources reviewed. Estimates published in 2026 range from $35 million to $65 million: Celebrity Net Worth gives $35 million, Wealthy Gorilla gives $45 million, and EBSCO Research Starters gives $65 million. These are third-party estimates, not figures established by a personal financial disclosure or audited records.

John Goodman net worth estimates compared

Publisher Published estimate What the figure establishes
Celebrity Net Worth $35 million A publisher’s estimate; the profile does not provide an audited accounting or verified personal disclosure.
Wealthy Gorilla $45 million A publisher’s estimate; its January 8, 2026 profile displays an August 8, 2026 update.
EBSCO Research Starters $65 million A biographical profile’s estimate; it does not establish the figure through audited records or a cited personal disclosure.

The $30 million spread between the lowest and highest estimates is a reason to treat all three cautiously, not to average them into a more precise-looking answer. The sources do not explain a shared valuation method or provide enough financial information to verify any of the amounts.

What the reported television salaries do—and do not—show

Celebrity Net Worth reports that Goodman earned $250,000 per episode for the 2018 Roseanne revival. Celebrity Net Worth and Wealthy Gorilla also report a later rate of $400,000 per episode for The Conners. These are compensation claims from secondary profiles, not a complete record of payments or proof of net worth.

Gross pay per episode does not reveal how many episodes were paid at that rate, or what remained after taxes, representation fees, expenses, debts, investments, and other financial activity. Wealthy Gorilla says it could not find salary information for the original Roseanne seasons, so applying the revival or spinoff rate to the earlier run would be unsupported.

Why a long acting career does not settle the number

Goodman’s career includes television, film, stage, and voice acting. EBSCO’s biography traces his breakthrough as Dan Conner on Roseanne, his 1993 Golden Globe, film roles including The Flintstones and The Big Lebowski, and later voice work. A 1989 Los Angeles Times profile documents that he was balancing Roseanne with film work early in his career.

That breadth shows why a single television salary cannot represent a whole career. It still does not disclose the value of Goodman’s assets, liabilities, contracts, or financial decisions. The Television Academy reported in July 2025 that The Conners and The Righteous Gemstones were ending that year; the end of those shows adds career context but does not verify a personal balance sheet.
