What dates did JKSSB announce?
The Board’s 8 September 2023 advance notice listed the following written examinations. Its annexure described the dates as tentative.

The notice stated: “The exact dates along with the schedule for downloading of admit cards shall be notified separately in due course of time.” It was signed by Reyaz Ahmad Malik (JKAS), Controller of Examinations, J&K Services Selection Board. An advance schedule should therefore not be confused with a final date or an admit-card announcement.
Were the examinations subsequently held?
JKSSB’s archived notices include admit-card issuance for the Data Entry Operator examination scheduled for 8 October 2023 and the Field Inspector examination scheduled for 22 October 2023. The Board’s official home page lists the Field Assistant examination as held on 29 October 2023. Subsequent answer-key and result-related notices also appear on the official site. These records establish the dates as historical; consult the specific post’s notices for its later examination and result details.

What syllabus and test format did the notice give?
The attached general written-test syllabus allotted 100 marks across five areas and set a two-hour duration.

- Open the official JKSSB website and look for the latest notice relevant to the examination, admit card, answer key or result.
- Match the post name and advertisement notification number, then verify the item number and cadre. The same broad post label may not be enough to identify the applicable record.
- Check whether the notice is tentative, a final examination schedule, or an admit-card announcement. Use the latest applicable notice for any time-sensitive action.
JKSSB’s Citizen Charter describes its website as a channel for examination notices, admit-card information, answer keys and results. It also says written examinations are conducted in OMR mode where applicable.
