Neither feature has a confirmed release date: the October 7 report gives seasonal timing, and JTX’s own homepage still lists perpetual futures under “Next.”
What is planned, and when?
TokenPost reported on October 7, 2026, that Jito Foundation chair Brian Smith expects a JTX mobile app in fall 2026. The report also said perpetual contracts could arrive later in winter, attributing that timing to The Block. The report does not establish a specific launch day or confirm that either feature has shipped. TokenPost report
The TokenPost page was not accessible for review, and no precise date or current release notice was available. Treat both windows as reported plans, not delivery commitments. “Later in winter” is not a calendar date, and the report does not specify an app-store listing, supported regions, or release conditions.
What JTX offers now
At its public launch on July 21, 2026, JTX was described by Jito as a self-custodial, Solana-native trading platform for spot trading. The launch announcement listed Solana assets including SOL, cbBTC, HYPE, memecoins, and tokenized assets such as equities and ETFs. It also described resting limit orders, automated execution, and conditional orders. These are features Jito announced at launch, not independent findings about current availability. JTX’s homepage currently separates spot trading and pro orders from perpetual futures and prediction markets, which it groups under “Next.” That label signals roadmap status on the page; it does not confirm a release date. JTX homepage

What Jito says about custody
Jito describes JTX as self-custodial. In the July launch announcement, Jito Labs co-founder and CEO Lucas Bruder said: “Users hold their own keys, settlement happens onchain, and there are no custody tradeoffs.” That is the company’s description of its design, not an independent security assessment. What remains unclear
- The exact date the mobile app will be released, whether it is currently available in any app store, and which regions or devices it will support.
- The exact perps launch date and whether the later-winter window is firm.
- Whether the homepage’s “Next” labels will change before either feature is available.
