The Beverly Crest mansion Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck once shared was taken off the market in January 2026 after being listed for $52 million—but that was not the end of its sale story. Lopez relisted the property in May for $49.995 million, and after a buyer’s deal reportedly fell through, Realtor.com showed it back on the market at that price on October 8, 2026.
Is the Beverly Crest mansion still for sale?
As of October 8, 2026, Realtor.com’s property page showed the home at 2571 Wallingford Drive listed for $49.995 million. Listing status can change, so this reflects the page on that date rather than a guarantee of its current availability. The January removal was an earlier event, not the latest status.
The reported sequence distinguishes three different stages: a listing can be removed without a sale, a signed contract can place a property in escrow, and only a completed transaction establishes that it sold. Reports said a buyer entered escrow in July 2026, then said the deal collapsed. No reviewed source confirmed a closing.
How the asking price changed
| When | Reported price | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| May 2023 | $60.85 million | Purchase price shown in TheMLS history displayed by Realtor.com. |
| July 2024 | $68 million | Public asking price shown in TheMLS history displayed by Realtor.com. |
| September 2025 | $52 million | Asking price before the January 2026 removal, according to Realtor.com’s listing history. |
| May 2026 | $49.995 million | Reported relisting price; Realtor.com’s October 2026 property page showed the same asking price. |
These figures are not interchangeable: the 2023 amount was a reported purchase price, while the later amounts were asking prices. The $52 million headline figure was not a confirmed sale price. Realtor.com’s listing history is available on its property page.

What happened after the $52 million listing came down?
- January 27, 2026: Realtor.com’s listing history records the home’s removal after its September 2025 listing at $52 million.
- May 2026: Realtor.com reported that Lopez relisted the property at $49.995 million after Affleck transferred his interest to her under an amended property settlement. The settlement document itself was not reviewed, so this ownership detail is attributable to that reporting.
- July 2026: The Real Deal reported that Lopez accepted an offer and the home entered escrow. Listing agent Branden Williams confirmed the contract, but the buyer and terms were not disclosed.
- Later in 2026: TMZ reported that the deal had fallen through, and Century City News reported on September 1 that the home was back on the market after escrow collapsed. The reason the buyer withdrew has not been established.
- October 8, 2026: Realtor.com displayed an active listing at $49.995 million.

Why “off the market” does not mean “sold”
A listing removal only indicates that the property is no longer being marketed through that listing; it does not establish that ownership changed. Escrow indicates a transaction is underway, but it can end without a closing. In this case, reporting supports a July contract and subsequent collapse, while the October Realtor.com page showed the home listed again. Neither the anonymous buyer’s identity nor the reason for withdrawal was disclosed in the cited reporting.
