The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Paper 1 result has been declared. Candidates can retrieve their individual scorecard through the official NTA candidate login using their application number, password and the case-sensitive CAPTCHA. NTA’s sample scorecard gives the declaration date as 16 February 2026.
How to download your JEE Main 2026 Session 1 scorecard
- Open the official JEE Main website and select the Session 1 Paper 1 result link, or go directly to the official scorecard login.
- Enter your application number and password.
- Type the displayed CAPTCHA exactly as shown; it is case-sensitive.
- Select View Result to access your scorecard. Save or print a copy for your records.
The login is for individual candidates, not a public marks list. If you cannot remember your password, use the page’s Forgot Password? link. NTA’s 2026 Information Bulletin says score and rank cards are not dispatched, so candidates should download them only from the official NTA/JEE Main websites.
What the Session 1 NTA score means
NTA explains on its scorecard that “The NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.” The score is a normalized measure for multi-shift papers: it represents the percentage of candidates in the same shift who scored equal to or below you. It is not your raw-mark percentage. NTA also notes that the total NTA score is not an average of the subject NTA scores.
How Session 1 relates to your overall rank
A Session 1 scorecard is not necessarily the final overall rank for a candidate who appears in both sessions. Under the 2026 Information Bulletin, NTA uses the better of a candidate’s two total NTA scores for overall merit and ranking—not the best score in each subject. Paper 1 overall ranks, including All India Rank and All India category rank, are declared after Session 2.
