Jason Amada says his Amazon-selling career began when he listed extra household items during the pandemic and they sold quickly. He later turned lessons from reselling—particularly about sourcing, product quality, marketing, and fulfillment—into books and seller education, according to interviews published in 2022 and 2023. Those accounts offer a view of his path and advice, but do not independently verify sales, profits, rankings, or client results.
How Jason Amada says he got started selling on Amazon
In an April 2022 interview with Authority Magazine, Amada recalled opening an Amazon seller account to sell excess household items while he was at home during the pandemic. The items sold quickly, prompting him to research reselling as a possible full-time career and speak with people already in the business.
He also described a practical obstacle at the outset: he did not have room to store inventory, so his mother let him use her apartment. This is Amada’s recollection in the interview, rather than an independently verified account of his business history.
What he says he learned about sourcing and product quality
Amada has described product quality as a lesson learned through returns for items he considered broken or poorly made. In the Authority Magazine interview, he also called sourcing from China in an effort to cut costs a mistake. His comments explain his own experience; they do not establish a general failure rate for products or suppliers from any country.

In discussing the problem Simpler Goods seeks to address, he described new sellers’ difficulty sourcing quality products customers want. That is his characterization, not a measured finding about sellers as a group.
What topics his books and seller guidance cover
A TechBullion interview published August 18, 2023 presents Amada’s books as drawing on his ecommerce experience. His responses discuss dropshipping, Amazon FBA, product sourcing and supplier negotiation, quality, branding, online marketing, customer engagement, and business growth. He described his website as a hub for articles and guides. These are descriptions in the interview, not an independent assessment of the materials or their results.
Barnes & Noble lists his ebook The Pitfalls of Selling on Amazon as a Third-Party Seller. That retailer listing establishes a listing there; it does not confirm current availability on Amazon.
An ABNewswire interview published August 22, 2023 also names Amazon Selling Secrets and Navigating FBA: A Guide to Fulfillment by Amazon. Because it is a press-release-style interview, it documents how the books were represented there, not independent rankings or sales performance.

Why he says he began advising other sellers
In the TechBullion interview, Amada connected his writing and consulting to a desire to share what he had learned and help other sellers. He described Simpler Goods as offering tailored strategies, coaching, and support for ecommerce businesses. The interview describes the venture and its services at that time; it does not establish whether consulting is currently available.
His advice in that interview was: “Believe in yourself, commit to learning, cultivate a supportive community, and embrace challenges.” In Authority Magazine, he put the resilience lesson this way: “People will try and bring you down, but it’s how you respond that will determine your path.” These are his stated principles, rather than evidence of a particular business outcome.
Rank #4
What the interviews do—and do not—establish
The interviews provide Amada’s account of his beginnings, lessons, books, and consulting. They do not provide audited figures for his sales or profits, independent evidence of book rankings, or verified client outcome data. TechBullion recounts a reader’s reported improvement in sales and profits after reading one of his books, but supplies no figures or independent confirmation; it should be treated as an anecdote, not proof that readers can expect similar results.
For readers considering his advice, the useful distinction is between a first-person account of lessons learned and independently measured evidence. The interviews support the former; they do not establish the latter.
