The same publisher reports $127 million in career earnings; that is a separate gross-income figure, not proof of what Jágr still owns.
What is Jaromír Jágr’s net worth?
Celebrity Net Worth lists Jágr’s estimated net worth as $50 million. The site does not provide a verified personal balance sheet, and the reviewed sources include no primary disclosure confirming the value of his assets, debts, investments, or other financial interests. Treat the figure as an estimate attributed to Celebrity Net Worth, not a confirmed account of his wealth. Celebrity Net Worth’s Jágr profile reports the estimate.
How much did Jágr earn during his career?
Celebrity Net Worth also reports $127 million in career earnings. That figure represents reported income over time, not current net worth, take-home pay, or a post-tax total. Earnings alone cannot show how much remains after taxes, spending, investments, or liabilities; the sources do not establish those amounts.
A historical contract figure
A 2001 working paper from the University of Greifswald cites a six-year, $48 million contract for Jágr in its discussion of NHL compensation around 1999–2000. It is a dated contract figure, not a complete accounting of his career income or wealth. University of Greifswald working paper reference.

Why career earnings and net worth are different
Career earnings are amounts earned over a period; net worth is the value of assets minus liabilities at a particular time. A contract’s headline value does not, on its own, establish how much was ultimately received or retained. The available figures therefore answer different questions:
| Figure | What it describes | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| $50 million | Estimated net worth | Celebrity Net Worth listing, accessed 2026; third-party estimate, not an audited or primary disclosure. |
| $127 million | Reported career earnings | Celebrity Net Worth listing, accessed 2026; not current wealth or a stated after-tax amount. |
| $48 million over six years | Historical contract figure | University of Greifswald working paper, 2001, discussing NHL compensation around 1999–2000; not a full-career earnings total. |
Is Jaromír Jágr still playing hockey?
In a March 28, 2026 report, NHL.com said Jágr was not ready to say he had retired: when asked, he replied, “Not official.” The report said he did not anticipate playing soon and that his most recent appearance for Kladno was December 21, 2025. It described his professional career as beginning with Kladno in 1988–89 and spanning 38 seasons. NHL.com’s March 28, 2026 report.
The NHL report also said Kladno’s season ended March 15, 2026. Jágr was selected fifth overall by Pittsburgh in the 1990 NHL Draft and won two Stanley Cups with the Penguins. The IIHF’s 2024 Hall of Fame profile records 24 NHL seasons and 1,921 NHL points, along with his 1998 Olympic gold medal. These are career credentials, not a method for calculating his finances. NHL.com reported that Jágr sold 80% of Kladno in January 2025 and remained a minority owner. The report does not give a valuation for his remaining stake, so its financial value cannot be quantified from that information.

What the public figures can—and cannot—tell you
- Estimate: Celebrity Net Worth’s $50 million listing is the commonly surfaced figure, but it is not independently verified by a public personal balance sheet.
- Earnings: The publisher’s $127 million career-earnings figure is not equivalent to wealth retained today.
- Ownership: A minority stake in Kladno is reported, but no value for it is supplied.
