Compass’s Rancho Santa Fe search results showed James Shields’s estate at $19,990,000 when checked on October 3, 2026. The property’s Compass detail page still displayed $23,000,000, so the lower figure is the latest located asking price—not a confirmed sale price or a fully reconciled live listing price.

What is James Shields’s Rancho Santa Fe home listed for?

The latest located Compass area-search result displayed $19,990,000 for 14783 Roxbury Terrace, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067. The result was accessed October 3, 2026, but was undated. Compass’s property-specific page continued to show $23,000,000 and carried an August 17, 2026, last-updated label. The two Compass pages therefore disagree; the area result is the most current located evidence for the $19.99 million asking price, but the captured information does not establish whether that is still the live price across Compass and MLS.

Compass’s property history records an initial listing at $23 million on March 26, 2026. It does not document the date of any subsequent price change. The listing remains described as an active single-family residence on the detail page; no source here confirms a closed sale. What does the listing say about the estate?

Compass describes the home as having 13,515 square feet on 2.44 acres, with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Those are listing figures, not independently verified measurements; Compass says its listing information should be independently checked.

The listing uses the description “Californian Modern organic” and highlights a courtyard entry, a great room and kitchen, 16-foot steel pocket sliders, a photography studio, and a primary suite with a sauna and steam room. These are features as described by Compass, rather than independently inspected details. Compass property listing

Who are the listing agents?

Compass names Eric Iantorno and Pilar Meza as the listing agents.

What the reported $19.9 million price does—and does not—confirm

The lower figure is a reported asking price, not evidence that the home sold for that amount. The available pages do not establish the exact date the price changed, the seller’s reason for changing it, or whether the lower ask is reflected consistently in every live listing record. A September 28, 2026, Homes of Celebs report also cited $19.9 million, while a September 16, 2026, Times of India story reported $23 million—another reason to distinguish reported asking prices from a verified transaction price.
