Reports put Jake Paul’s pay for his November 2024 fight with Mike Tyson at about $40 million and Tyson’s at about $20 million. Those were not confirmed official purse amounts: Paul publicly said he was aiming to make $40 million, while Tyson’s figure was reported as an estimate. The cited contemporary coverage said the fighters, promoters and Texas Athletic Commission had not disclosed exact purses.

Were the reported purses officially confirmed?
No exact purse amount was disclosed in the contemporary reporting cited here. CBS Sports reported that neither Most Valuable Promotions nor the Texas Athletic Commission had disclosed the purses. The reports do not include either fighter’s contract, payment records or final settlement, so they cannot establish what either man ultimately received or took home after taxes, fees and other deductions. That distinction matters most for Paul: his $40 million remark was a statement of what he intended to make before the event, not independent verification of his final pay. Tyson’s approximately $20 million figure was reported as an estimate, not a confirmed contract amount.
