ITPro Today and Network Computing ceased publication on September 30, 2025, and IoT World Today’s newsletter is no longer published. The corporate combination behind the change closed earlier, on December 2, 2024, when TechTarget combined with Informa Tech’s digital businesses to form Informa TechTarget. The subject areas did not disappear: TechTarget says coverage of networking, IT operations, IoT-related technology, data, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity continues on TechTarget.com.

What happened, in the correct order

There are two separate dates to distinguish: the corporate transaction and the later retirement of publication brands.

Date Event What it means
December 2, 2024 TechTarget completed its combination with Informa Tech’s digital businesses. The combined company became Informa TechTarget.
December 3, 2024 Informa TechTarget began trading on Nasdaq under TTGT. This was the public-market start of the combined company, not the shutdown of the publications.
September 30, 2025 ITPro Today and Network Computing ceased publication. Their regular editorial publishing under those names ended.
April 6, 2026 TechTarget published an explanation of the transition. It confirmed the brands’ integration into Informa TechTarget and warned that some legacy URLs may be unsupported.

The corporate combination therefore did not occur in September 2025. That month marks the publication shutdown for ITPro Today and Network Computing.

Were the three publications acquired as separate companies?

No. ITPro Today, Network Computing and IoT World Today were Informa Tech brands. They became part of the broader TechTarget–Informa Tech digital-business combination; they were not three independent companies purchased one by one.

The transaction created Informa TechTarget, which now operates the wider TechTarget portfolio and its associated editorial and commercial businesses.

Current status of each brand

Brand Current status Reader implication
ITPro Today Publication ended September 30, 2025. Do not expect new articles or a continuing newsletter under the ITPro Today name.
Network Computing Publication ended September 30, 2025. Parts of the legacy site remain accessible and display an “Important Update.” Existing pages may still load, but the brand is no longer publishing normally.
IoT World Today Its newsletter is no longer published. Readers are directed to TechTarget’s continuing coverage of relevant enterprise-technology topics rather than a current IoT World Today newsletter.

TechTarget’s explanation is available at TechTarget’s transition page. It describes the three names as part of the Informa TechTarget operation and directs visitors toward TechTarget.com.

What happened to the old articles and URLs?

Some legacy addresses may no longer be supported. A former ITPro Today article URL, for example, now resolves to TechTarget’s explanatory page instead of the original article. A redirect or an inaccessible page does not establish that every archived article was deleted; it only shows that the old address is no longer dependable.

If you have an old bookmark, try the following:

  1. Open the address and check whether it redirects to a TechTarget explanation or another current page.
  2. Search TechTarget.com using the article’s distinctive headline, author or technical subject.
  3. If the page is unavailable, look for the topic in TechTarget’s current networking, IT operations, data-management, artificial-intelligence or cybersecurity coverage.
  4. For material you need to preserve, save a permitted copy or citation while the page remains accessible; do not assume every legacy URL will continue working.

For an example of a legacy page carrying the transition notice, see Network Computing’s author page. An older ITPro Today address that now illustrates the redirect behavior is this ITPro Today URL.

Where the coverage moved

The brands had distinct editorial roles before publication ended:

  • ITPro Today: IT operations, systems, applications, servers, infrastructure and DevOps-related practices.
  • Network Computing: networking and network-management news and analysis.
  • IoT World Today: connected, embedded and smart technologies.

TechTarget says those subject areas continue through its broader editorial coverage on TechTarget.com, including networking, IT operations, data management, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The change is therefore a change in publication brands and distribution, not an announcement that these technology topics have been abandoned.

What happened to the newsletters?

The ITPro Today, Network Computing and IoT World Today newsletters are no longer being published. Readers who relied on those email editions need to use the relevant TechTarget.com channels instead; an old newsletter subscription should not be treated as an active product.

Bottom line for readers

Use December 2, 2024 for the Informa Tech–TechTarget corporate combination and September 30, 2025 for the end of ITPro Today and Network Computing publication. IoT World Today’s newsletter has also ended. The names may still appear in search results or on surviving pages, but they are legacy brands; current reporting on their former subject areas is being carried within Informa TechTarget’s TechTarget.com coverage.
