The application window for ISRO’s VSSC-335 recruitment closed on June 18, 2025, at 17:00. It is not open for new applications. The notice covered Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant and Library Assistant-A posts. By August 2026, VSSC’s careers page showed the recruitment had progressed through testing, shortlisting and selection-panel notices.
What happened to the VSSC-335 application window?
Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) issued Advertisement VSSC-335 on May 31, 2025. Online applications opened June 4 at 10:00 and closed June 18 at 17:00. June 18, 2025 was also the eligibility cut-off date. The original notice said the written-test date would be announced on the VSSC website; subsequent updates show computer-based test activity in February 2026 and further selection stages afterward.
Applicants seeking a current result, shortlist or panel notice should use the official VSSC careers page, which lists dated updates for Advertisement 335 through August 2026. The application dates in the 2025 notice are historical, not a current opening.
How many vacancies were there?
The title says 82 posts, but adding the counts in the detailed vacancy table gives 83: 76 Technical Assistant posts, five Scientific Assistant posts and two Library Assistant-A posts. VSSC’s careers page lists a corrigendum for Advertisement 335, but the listed corrigendum could not be verified here. Therefore, neither 82 nor 83 should be presented as the confirmed final total without checking that notice. The original recruitment notice also said vacancies could vary and VSSC could decide not to fill a post.

How was selection designed?
The notice specified a written test followed by a qualifying skill test. Final empanelment depended on written-test marks among candidates who qualified in the skill test.
Written test
- The test consisted of 80 multiple-choice questions over 90 minutes, based on the relevant curriculum.
- Each correct answer earned one mark; each wrong answer incurred a penalty of 0.33 mark.
- The pass threshold was 32 out of 80 for UR and EWS candidates, and 24 out of 80 for candidates from other reserved categories when applying against vacancies reserved for them.
- Shortlisting for the skill test was at a ratio of 1:5, with at least 10 candidates specified.
Skill test and empanelment
- The skill test was qualifying only, with a minimum score of 50 out of 100 for UR candidates and 40 out of 100 for reserved-category candidates.
- Among candidates who qualified with at least 60% in the skill test, empanelment was based on written-test marks.
- If written-test scores were tied, marks in the notified qualifying academic credential were the tie-breaker.
How can candidates check updates safely?
VSSC’s dated careers notices are the appropriate place to check the status of Advertisement 335 and any selection-panel information. The notice says, “Candidates are selected purely as per merit.” It also warns against touts and job racketeers claiming they can secure VSSC or ISRO employment, and says the organisations do not appoint agents or coaching centres to act on their behalf. Use official ISRO and VSSC pages rather than promises of influence or unofficial payment requests.
