Islam Makhachev’s net worth is estimated at about $5 million to $6 million, but no official personal financial disclosure confirms the figure. Celebrity Net Worth puts the estimate at $6 million, updated September 4, 2026; The Times of India gave a $5 million–$7 million range in September 2025. These are publisher estimates, not audited totals.

What is Islam Makhachev’s estimated net worth?

The two published estimates provide a rough range, not a precise or verified valuation. Neither source presents a personal balance sheet or a transparent calculation of Makhachev’s assets and liabilities.

Source and date Published figure What it represents
Celebrity Net Worth, updated September 4, 2026 $6 million The publisher’s net-worth estimate, not an official disclosure.
The Times of India, September 18, 2025 $5 million–$7 million The publication’s estimated range; the article does not provide underlying contract records or a transparent calculation.

Because the estimates are not financial disclosures, they should not be averaged into a more exact figure. Makhachev’s actual net worth—and his verified career earnings—are not established by the available public figures.

How does Makhachev earn money from UFC fights?

Championship-level fights, reported purses and performance bonuses are documented parts of the picture, but no public career ledger establishes his total UFC compensation. A disclosed purse is not necessarily the same as all money earned for a bout, and neither figure necessarily equals take-home income after taxes or other costs.

Reported UFC 311 purse

Celebrity Net Worth reports that California regulatory disclosures listed a $200,000 purse for Makhachev’s January 2025 UFC 311 victory over Renato Moicano. That is a reported disclosed-purse figure—not proof that $200,000 was his complete compensation for the fight. The source notes that public disclosures may omit pay-per-view participation, sponsorship income, discretionary bonuses and other undisclosed UFC payments.

Reported performance bonuses

Celebrity Net Worth lists these bonus amounts: $50,000 for Fight of the Night against Arman Tsarukyan in 2019; $50,000 for his title-winning performance against Charles Oliveira in 2022; $50,000 for each of his two Alexander Volkanovski fights; and $100,000 in combined bonuses against Dustin Poirier. These are the source’s reported bonus figures, not a complete accounting of Makhachev’s earnings.

Broader fight-income claims

The Times of India’s September 2025 article reported estimated fight income of $500,000–$1 million per fight, with high-profile event totals potentially exceeding $2 million. It did not provide contract documents or a transparent calculation, so these amounts should be treated as the publication’s estimates—not confirmed pay or guaranteed totals.

What sponsorships and endorsements are reported?

Celebrity Net Worth names Monster Energy, cryptocurrency project Saitama and investment firm Elite Capital as sponsorship or ambassador relationships. It says their financial terms were not publicly disclosed. The available information therefore supports neither a dollar value for these relationships nor a claim that each is still active.

The Times of India also discusses sponsorships and social media as possible income sources, but does not identify contracts or provide figures. That offers broad context, not a basis for calculating endorsement income.

Why his career matters—but does not verify the estimate

Makhachev’s success in the UFC helps explain why public estimates place him among high-profile MMA earners; it cannot, by itself, establish his wealth. The Associated Press reported that he defeated Jack Della Maddalena by unanimous decision at UFC 322 in New York on November 15, 2025, winning the 170-pound welterweight championship. AP said the victory tied the UFC record at that point with 16 consecutive wins. It also reported that Makhachev had made four lightweight title defenses before giving up that belt to pursue a second division.

The UFC athlete profile’s search result records a welterweight title defense against Ian Machado Garry in August 2026. A sporting milestone does not reveal contract terms, accumulated savings, investment performance or liabilities, so it cannot settle the net-worth question.

What is—and is not—known about his wealth?

The public information supports a cautious estimate, not a verified financial profile. In particular, the figures discussed here do not establish Makhachev’s lifetime fight compensation, total endorsement income, investments, debts, taxes or overall assets. The $200,000 reported purse should not be mistaken for take-home pay or for the total compensation from UFC 311, and the reported bonuses should not be treated as a complete earnings record.
