Walmart Deals is a broad, time-limited savings event that can be compared with Amazon’s Prime Day as a seasonal shopping promotion—but Walmart’s announcements do not establish that it matches Prime Day in scale, prices or savings. The 2026 summer event ran June 22–28 and has ended. Its dates and offers are historical, not current deals.
What was Walmart Deals 2026?
Walmart announced its summer Walmart Deals event on June 9, 2026. It ran from June 22 through June 28, with what Walmart described as “thousands of offers” across popular categories and early back-to-school essentials. That inventory figure is Walmart’s description, not an independently audited count or a measure of value.

The event covered electronics, fashion, toys, collectibles, furniture, skincare and other products, alongside summer favorites and school essentials. Walmart called it “a weeklong savings event designed to help customers save big on the items they want most this summer”; that is the retailer’s characterization, not an independent assessment of savings.
When did the 2026 event run?
Online shopping began at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on June 22, 2026. In-store shopping began at 6 a.m. local time that day. The event ended online at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on June 28; in stores, it ended at each location’s regular closing time. Those dates have passed.

Did you need Walmart+ to shop?
No. Walmart said customers could shop the event on Walmart.com, in the Walmart app and at Walmart stores. Walmart+ provided a limited early-access benefit, not exclusive access to the full event.
Eligible Walmart+ members could shop a curated, online-only selection of “hot Deal drop items” starting at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on June 22, during the event’s first 24 hours and while supplies lasted. Any remaining items in those drops opened to all customers at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on June 23. Walmart excluded $1 trial members and free-trial Walmart+ Student and Walmart+ Assist members from this benefit.

How could shoppers receive purchases?
Walmart listed curbside pickup, Express Delivery in 30 minutes or less, and two-day shipping among the ways customers could receive purchases. These were options the retailer described, not guarantees for every product, address or date; availability depended on the item and location.
How does Walmart Deals compare with Prime Day?
The comparison works as a broad description of the sale’s role: both are retailer-led shopping events promoting offers across multiple categories. But the available Walmart announcements do not provide a like-for-like Prime Day comparison of prices, duration, sale scale or shopper savings. They cannot show that Walmart Deals matched or beat Prime Day.

Walmart has used the Walmart Deals name for different seasonal promotions. Its summer 2025 event ran July 8–13, lasted six days and included online and in-store shopping with Walmart+ early access. Separately, a holiday-season event ran October 7–12, 2025, opened to all customers and gave Walmart+ members a five-hour head start. Those examples show the format has varied; they do not establish a recurring schedule or predict future dates.

Walmart’s 2025 summer announcement named products including a Samsung Smart Monitor, a Vizio television, a Dyson vacuum, outdoor products, watches and school supplies. For budgeting, treat an event label as a cue to compare the specific item’s current price and terms, not as proof that an offer is the lowest available or a better value than a competing sale. The announcements establish the event’s categories and access rules, but not independently measured savings.
