An October 3 comparison put Virgin Plus, Fido and Koodo at $50/month for 60GB in Ontario after Autopay discounts.
Is Virgin Plus offering 60GB for $44?
The $44 price was a short-lived historical offer, not a price confirmed as current. iPhone in Canada’s April 28, 2026 price report listed Virgin Plus at $44/month for 60GB, while Fido and Koodo were each at $45 for 60GB. A separate report the following day put all three at $45 for 60GB.
Prices increased again in July. The latest dated comparison in the available reporting, published October 3, 2026, lists each carrier’s 60GB tier at $50/month after Autopay discounts in Ontario. Wireless promotions can change quickly, and prices may differ by province, customer eligibility, activation channel, and payment method; check the carrier’s live offer for your address before switching.

The comparison describes the headline prices as Canadian dollars and notes that Quebec differs where indicated. Does Virgin Plus match Koodo or Fido?
In the October comparison, the three brands match on the headline 60GB price after Autopay: $50/month. That does not establish that their plans have identical terms. Compare the final monthly bill, required payment method, eligibility, included calling and messaging, and any promotion expiry before choosing. In particular, make sure you qualify for the listed offer as a new customer or BYOD activation if the carrier’s terms require it.
Which is better: Virgin Plus, Fido, or Koodo?
For a 60GB plan
The reported price alone does not distinguish them: each is listed at $50/month for 60GB after Autopay in the October Ontario snapshot. Check the live plan details and coverage at the places you regularly use your phone. The sources behind these price reports do not establish that one network has better reception or performance at a particular address.

Koodo’s reported $60/month, 100GB tier is the relevant option in this comparison if you regularly need more than 60GB. The October report lists Virgin Plus and Fido tiers up to 60GB, so it does not show an equivalent 100GB tier for those two brands.
For use in Canada, the United States, and Mexico
The October comparison reports 60GB Canada-US-Mexico offers at $55/month for each carrier, but the cross-border terms are not identical. It reports Fido roaming for 12 months and notes a two-year limit on Koodo international calling. Confirm what roaming, calling, and data features are included, and how long they last, in the carrier’s current terms; the headline price does not establish that every feature is permanent.

What about Virgin Plus’s $45/40GB offer?
A captured Virgin Plus page shows a separate $45/month, 40GB BYOD offer for new activations, with an Autopay credit and an October 7 end date. However, the page capture is marked as having been crawled last year, so it cannot confirm that the offer remains live or applies in your region. Verify the price, data allowance, eligibility, Autopay condition, and expiry date directly on Virgin Plus’s current offer page before relying on it: Virgin Plus postpaid plans.

- Monthly cost: Confirm the price after any Autopay credit and whether that discount continues for as long as you keep the plan.
- Eligibility: Check whether the offer is limited to new activations, BYOD customers, a specific province, or a particular purchase channel.
- Coverage: Check service at home, work, and along your usual routes; a national brand name or plan price does not predict reception at your address.
- Travel terms: Read the duration and limits for roaming, international calling, and included data in each destination.
- Promotion timing: Confirm the current end date and what happens to the price or included features afterward.
