Not as a local Amazon retail marketplace. The Amazon Global Store service that let people in South Korea order through 11st stopped accepting new orders on June 30, 2026. Amazon still has other business operations in the country, including AWS, but that is separate from shopping for consumer goods.
What happened to Amazon Global Store on 11st?
Amazon and South Korean retailer 11st launched Amazon Global Store on August 31, 2021. Shoppers could browse products from Amazon US through 11st’s website and app. Amazon described the launch selection as tens of millions of products across more than 30 categories; that was a launch-era description, not a current inventory guarantee. Amazon’s 2021 announcement
According to ZDNet Korea’s report, 11st stopped accepting new Amazon Global Store orders at 11:59 p.m. Korea time on June 30, 2026. The report said existing orders and post-purchase support would continue under 11st’s arrangements. Older instructions directing shoppers to place new Amazon Global Store orders through 11st are therefore out of date.
Can you order from Amazon.com to South Korea?
The end of the 11st service does not establish that every order from Amazon.com is impossible. Shipping eligibility can depend on the individual product, seller, and Korean delivery address. Check the item’s delivery details and the final checkout options before relying on an order; the available information does not establish shipping eligibility for every item or address.

What does “Amazon in Korea” mean?
Consumer shopping
There is no local Amazon retail marketplace established by the available evidence. A 2026 market guide says Amazon does not operate a Korean retail marketplace and reports no announced launch, but that is secondary-source reporting, not an official Amazon statement. The market guide

Amazon Web Services
Amazon also operates in South Korea through business services such as AWS. AWS publishes Korea-specific guidance, including invoicing information for AWS Marketplace products. That business presence does not mean consumers can shop a localized Amazon retail site. AWS Marketplace invoicing guidance

What to check before buying internationally
- Delivery: Confirm that the listing accepts your Korean address and check the estimated delivery date.
- Total cost: Review shipping and any import charges shown at checkout; do not assume every order is duty-free.
- Product and seller: Check the exact model, seller, and product details rather than relying on a platform’s general catalogue description.
- Returns and support: Read the return and warranty terms and confirm who handles post-purchase support.
- Customs identification: The International Trade Administration’s guide says Korea Customs Service requires personal importers to use a Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCCC), regardless of goods’ value. Check current customs instructions and the item’s eligibility before ordering. International Trade Administration guidance
