Check the live listing before treating $198—or the claimed 43% discount—as current.
Is the Sony WH-1000XM4 $198 right now?
There is no confirmed current $198 offer in the available pricing information. Tom’s Guide reported the headphones for $198 at Amazon on October 20, 2025, describing the price as $150 off. That historical report is not proof the deal remains live.
Sony’s US silver product listing displayed $349.99 when crawled, but that is a separate, time-sensitive price and may not match the Amazon listing by seller, color, or date: Sony WH-1000XM4 product listing. The $198 report’s $150-off description implies a $348 comparison price in that article; it does not establish a current list price or substantiate a present-tense 43% discount.
What to verify before buying
- Open the retailer’s live product page and confirm the checkout price, rather than relying on an old deal headline.
- Check that the seller, color, and product condition match what you intend to buy; a used or refurbished listing is not directly comparable to a new one.
- Review the retailer’s reference price before accepting a percentage-off claim. Discounts can be calculated against different reference prices.
- Compare return and warranty terms along with the price.

How to judge the deal against another option
A price alone does not show whether the XM4 is the better buy. Compare the live prices for the same condition and seller type, then check the features and purchase protections that matter to you.
